NDSU move back to FCS

Passing TD’s don’t count as scored points. The receiver gets them.

Meh….whatever you call him, one player out of NDSU was more productive in his NFL career than every single former Griz player combined (not counting a kicker).

Just curious, but how many games have former Griz players (outside of leather helmet days )started at QB in the NFL? How many games have those players won ? How many touchdowns have they thrown or ran for?

Read your quote again. You are using a n of 1, which is isn’t statistically significant. I used an n of 2. No better. There are plenty of programs who would prove my point. Top coaches and AD’s are paid a premium for a reason. They are often irreplaceable or the results they achieved aren’t easily replicated. The program is a program. NDSU will now find out how they were in a sweet spot with recruiting, facilities and competition. They won’t find the success they did at the FCS or D2 level. They will absolutely be competitive. Just another middle of the pack team who will never make the playoffs and hope for some bowl game that might never solidify. College football is changing very rapidly and I don’t think the move up will serve NDSU well in the long run. If Iowa and Nebraska can’t make a splash, NDSU sure as hell isn’t going to.

I’m not saying Jim Kramer isn’t significant, but he’s one person. If Ryan Napoli, who trained under Jim and is using his same training regime, can’t keep up the results, I’ll eat crow.

Surprised you haven’t mentioned Randy Hedberg, who mentored 5 NDSU QB’s who all were drafted in the NFL. I’d argue unprecedented QB play was as equally as important as anything in terms of NDSU’s continued success.

Maybe so….but I won’t be watching NDSU play in places like Cheney Washington or at the new powerhouse program in the Big Sky , Utah Tech, in St George.

To put your statement of bust into context …one guy you call a bust single handily accomplished more in the NFL than every single Griz player combined (not counting kickers or leather helmet players)….

You’d be overjoyed to watch one single Griz player have half the career Wentz has had…

Remind me again..how many NFL games in the last 80 years have been started by someone at the QB position who had played for Montana? How many wins did they have? How many pro bowls did they make? How many TD’s did they throw for?

Not really. They have a very realistic shot.

I could care less about seeing them win another National Championship. Week in and week out, I get to watch them now play conference opponents who are actually fun to watch . Not Utah Tech or Eastern Washington or Southern Utah.

QB
Running back
Tight End
Wide Receiver
Defensive player

Line them all up and they don’t even come close to what one single player, Wentz, did in the NFL.
