We've seen a lot of posts about the degree to which players like/respect Hauck, and how with ~100 guys, there is bound to be some who don't. I would think the same logic would apply here. There has to be some players who are saying, "F*ck this guy." Bizons just have to hope those players aren't the key ones.

That's a fair point I hadn't considered. The ol' Liquid Lobotomy. They are far more advanced in PED use than MSU, which just used the magic, 18-month, OTC vitamins.

I hate to say this but the cats have to close the lobotomy gap. You replace a popular, charismatic confidence man with your sixxth choice candidate who is a practicing pacifist and suffers from narcolepsy. There’s only so much Mony Mony you can pump thru the stadium loudspeakers before even the dullard cat fans catch on.

It’s not sustainable.

Entz has been at NDSU for 8-9 years as Defensive coach and head coach. 6(?) national titles. There is no more upside if you have bigger ambitions. Probably the right time o move esp. with the big offer. USC is about as big as it gets for a FCS coach.

Its interesting the last couple of coaches got themselves gigs as head ball coaches elsewhere. This guy is going to the Choate school of coaching, find a cushy coordinators position and wait his turn for a Mountain West posting. Well... it might not be the MW then, but you get the picture.

The wild thing to me is that he couldn't turn being Texas' DC during this insane run into a better coaching position than freaking Nevada. The school who got poached by another MWC school (Colorado State) and Jay Norvell said he left because Nevada was a cheapskate program that wouldn't invest in anything besides basketball. Especially how do you not find a better spot with all of the openings this year. New Mexico would be a better job than freaking Nevada.

Like I'm not really rooting for the guy for making thanksgiving awful during undergrad but whatever upward progress he had is gonna be gone or at least on hold for the next seven years.
