:o :o Lot of talk during the tournament about moving the three point line back but yesterday NCAA left the line in its present location at 19 + some inches. :o :o

The incoming Wash. Freshman shot 57%!! it says below he was one of the tops in nation for high school kids as a senior...and the line stays the same for him now. If he would have done that as a Junior the Griz could not have touched him recruiting wise..that is the advantage for the Griz getting early signing kids.

I would think (because, I saw him in three games last year) he could
have a higher percentage in college when the other team will not be
double teaming him and focousing the D on him.

Staudacher (Staw-duh-ker) from Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Washington, Ryan is a 6-3 perimeter player who is one of the best shooters on the West Coast. His senior year he averaged 19.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and was one of the leading three-point shooters in the nation at 57.1%. He averaged 16.8 points per game as a junior. His high school basketball coach was Terry Johnson.

The Griz look will change BIG TIME next year with alot of Freshman coming in and making a big impact, It seems Van Valiet will not red shirt but will others ??

I am not saying the Wash. kid will hit 57% his freshman year but Just how good is 57% from Three? Here is the ncaa all time national records..

season
(Min. 100 made) 57.3%—Steve Kerr, Arizona, 1988
(114 of 199)

Career
(Min. 200 made and 2.0 made per game) 49.7%—
Tony Bennett, Wis.-Green Bay, 1989-92 (290 of
584)

(Min. 300 made) 46.4%—Ross Land, Northern Ariz.,
1997-2000 (308 of 664)

ON Ryan Staudacher..
He is one amazing shooter and one amazing athlete.

I saw him play against Roosevelts Marcus Willliams (going to Arizona)
and MWill looked like he was much more talented (he is 6'7 though)
MWill drove the lane better and was more agile inside. Staudacher
shot the ball better.

I saw him play vs. Micah Downs (going to Kansas) in that game Staudacher scored 30 something and Micah looked bad as Staudacher's team won and Ryan hit a bunch of threes in a row while being box and oned.

He was a starter on the nations best AAU team FOH with Martel Webster,
(goining nba) Brockman (UW) Mitch Johnson (Stanford), Downs (Kansas)
I was told he learned his role quickly playing with those guys..but I
saw he had 7 threes in one big summer national tourney game.

Studacher was a good team player-great passer (not a gunner) but I remember thinking he was not that agressive driving or going to the offensive boards and rebounding.

There is ton of info on him on the internet, even QB video on the recruiting sights. I have been told he is good, smart kid (was looking at Stanford for Football)..I think once he focusses on one sport ..he will be something special, I read basketball was his love.. so that is why he picked it.
I saw him play football and he was even better at that sport.
