ncaa investigation????

Anybody heard any updates about the ongoing investigation???
I realize they have no real time-line but was hoping for some news before the first game.
Can they decide in mid november to ban the Griz from post season play? Or would it take effect next season? Not that I think that will be the punishment just curious on how any punishment is handed down if it happens during a season and not during the offseason.
