Hey fellas, can you tell me who the b-ball players are and why they got tossed into jail? I have not seen shit in the second worst news paper in the state. The Bozeman Comical. I know Brad has been just bring in warm bodies to field a team and save his job. It's to bad, he's a nice guy like Tinkle.
From BN on the current Bobcat Bball players budinich and johnson?

How has there been nothing about this from MSU or the Chronicle yet. I know you have to get facts in line and all, but with everything going on with other schools, it doesn't look good when a message board is talking about it for a day or two and no-one else has said anything...

It's a cover-up! from the Top Down

even with a "valent attempt" nothing from campus, nothing on the air waves, nothing in the paper, nothing on TV and nothing but what you started on BN :thumb:

This is not looking good at all for the AD Fields even though he's driven down this road before.
remember He wrecked last time and paid the fine.

and now at least we all know what it means when someone in the MSU athletic department says
"a player broke team rules" Ash included!

It's out now. On my Yahoo homepage under State news, there was a link to the story on KPAX.

"Jeffrey Budinich, 21, and Tre Johnson, 20, were arrested and charged with two counts each of criminal trespass into a vehicle and theft."

Unfortunately, it looks like they were caught red handed with stolen stuff. They admitted to taking a checkbook and ditching it...

Not good.

I think Bear Axed lacks mental capacity. He is truly a legend in his own mind but cannot comprehend anything in the real world. Every post he makes gets stranger. He is out of touch with society. Of course, small minds are like that! He is probably at peace living in the world of make believe!

Just the opposite Bear Axed. Your great at making an ass out of yourself. It appears a lot of your fellow posters on here agree! Most Griz fans would like to have a football program like the Cats right now as far as image. You can rag on Ash all you want but he has run a clean, winning program that it's fans can be proud of. Your comments make you look like a jerk!
Your football program is only one part of a DIRTY athletic deptartment, run by the same guy who was in charge of the department when your football program was Dirty too!

So, What has really changed? :?

Gee, Bear Axed, the NCAA and Big Sky Conference feel the atheltic program at MSU is excellent. You win the President's Award based on academics, community service and play on the field. If MSU ran a dirty program then they wouldn't get this recognition. Bear Axed you continue to be a total jerk! Also, Peter Fields received the national AD of the Year Award. It seems like everything you bad mouth is just the opposite. Embarassing!

And don't forget Rob Ash being the President of the American Football Coaches Association.

It's sad to see these kittens celebrating the complete imposion of their Mens Basketball team and the Complete lack of leadership shown during this troubled time by both their school President and Athletic Director.

Really a sad state of affairs in Montana

I checked out this lawyers web site. Alabama State is mentioned prominently. Seems they weren't too keen on helping the NCAA investigation a while back. Took THREE YEARS to complete the investingation.

At $225 an hour, I'd be taking my time too.

One thing I find awfully interesting is the complete lack of any mention of this in Cops and Crime in the Comical? I guess they've gotten use to the pay-offs from MSU on keeping most of these types of thing on the "Hush Hush"

that's cheap for lawyers.......

Very cheap, $250 per hour is the going rate....

"Cheap" is a relative term. If a $400 lawyer can get it done in one year and it takes the $225 Lawyer 3 years, which one is cheaper? More often than not you get what you pay for.

Bear Axed there was a car theft police report in the Monday Comical. That is not unusual as the Sunday paper was already printed. Your striving to turn this into something it isn't is totally delusional. The two players were suspended from the team as soon as the facts were known . Soon we will read they were kicked out of school. I am sure all the details will be in the Comical by tomorrow. If you read the Comical on a daily basis you are not surprised at anything. This was not a big news item. Car thefts happen everyday. Someone on duty Sunday night at the Comical would have had to recognize the names and then research the jail records. In a situation like this, it doesn't raise any red flags from the newspapers perspective. How's the weather today Bear Axed in that world of make believe? Is it the heat or that stuff you smoke that has fried your brain!

It is amazing to me that with everything going on at UM there are still Griz fans that just can't understand the difference between kids acting like kids and grown ups acting like grown ups. While every school in America is going to have its share of student athletes doing stupid things, what separates a well run program from a not-so-well run program is how the grown-ups that run the program react. Notice in this latest incident involving two MSU BBall players that they were immediately suspended from the team. There was no announcement by the program that it will "let the legal system run its course." and a bunch of nonsense about innocent until proven guility (these are legal standards and have nothing to do with the privilege of playing on a college sports team). Why, because innocent or guilty, these two athletes put themselves in a position that reflects poorly on the program. For all the whining on this board, simply go back over the last four or five years and compare how MSU has handled every negative situation with an announcement of immediate discipline action for the player followed by (in most cases) the opportunity for that player to earn a chance to be back on the team. In the meantime, UM has responded either by not making any public announcement regarding dicipline or the standard "we will let the legal system run its course."

Look today where the two programs stand and I think it is clear which is the better approach. But rather than be objective, there are still Griz fans that can't seem to understand the difference in approach. Simply amazing to me.

Appalachian State dismisses LB Rizor from team
Boone, NC (Sports Network) - Starting linebacker John Rizor has been dismissed from the Appalachian State football team for an undisclosed violation of team rules, the Southern Conference university announced Tuesday.

In addition, quarterback Kalik Barnes will not be permitted to participate in games during the 2012 season, also due to a violation of team rules.

Even App St getting into the act.

So you folks are saying that, every time some player is accused of something, he should just be dismissed, with no effort to discover any facts or ascertain whether or not the accusation is true? Or are you saying that the dismissal should come after some initial fact-finding? Or are you saying that there should be a full evidentiary hearing first? Or are you saying that rumor and innuendo are enough? Or are you saying that the standard is somewhere in the middle? Or what the hell are you saying?
