NC Game Broadcast Team

I don't even think he works for ESPN does he? I know he works for Westwood One which is like radio broadcasts for NFL games. Maybe they're doing radio for that but I cannot recall hearing him on an ESPN College Football game at any point this season.

Jay Walker will be calling the game though. He confirmed it during the Selection Show

Whether he is doing it or not, I think we should slow our roll. He needs this more than ESPN needs him. I am sure he will be professional. My guess is that he is using it as an audition to do more live TV. Remember, this is FCS. We are no different than DIII, DII, and the National JC national championship to most people in the country and to anyone in ESPN managment.

Enjoy the game and the the fact that it is going to be televised.

With any luck he still is legally band from stepping foot in the state of Texas. If they are going to hire a non-ESPN announcer than surely Musburger has a few more game calls in him.

UM doesn’t need any association with Ryan.

I would rather have Osweiler. Better QB and he actually likes the Griz. He did a decent job calling the 1 game I saw with him this season.

You have much more faith in him than I. Legally, he is wife beating, ex-con druggie felon, with a big mouth and an attitude to match. I didn't know about the not setting foot in Texas part, so there's still hope that he gets passed over. Musberger would be INFINITELY BETTER. Comparing the two is a huge insult to Musberger.

Leaf has been an ESPN announcer in the past. Certainly before his last arrest a few years ago. Don't know about recent years.

I will say this, the crew we had last night, the two guys in the booth last night I think were humbled and impressed by the atmosphere. I think they loved it.

They did their research, enough to have some knowledge of the geography,….“third and Kalispell“ was the correct direction.
Watched the replay last night after being there for the real deal. Thought they were great. Good individual stories to add spice to the story. Constant praise of the atmosphere and the crowd (can't hurt recruiting athletes or students) and genuine excitement over the play on the field. IMO better than most calls I see of Big Boy games, the pair seemed to be having a blast and most of the commentary was spot on with a minimum of hype. I may be biased because the good guys won but the call was excellent on any level.

I forgot the website I read it on, but it was about bad broadcasting. The article just gushed about his performance. The "Oooooohhhh!" When White caught that deflection and his other statements.

As the site is about bad broadcasting, you can tell the were giving big props to that announcer.

Jay Walker is terrible. Always shows his bias.

I remember a line backer knocking him on his ash after he got to camp which is a big NO NO in the NFL.
I believe it was Junior Seau, that tells me everything I need to know about him.

Fu ck that guy. He should watch at home with his cat buddies. Huge black eye for this state.

Greatest first round pick in the NFL ever!

That right there shows ESPN should pull him. Also look at his comment to someone asking a question about preference between UM/MSU:

He’s a dbag. He constantly argues with Griz fans on twitter and instagram too. If he actually is calling this game in some capacity it would go a long way to call it well and not try FVCKING with Griz fans

'Better to light a single candle than curse the darkness.'
Who is hiring him? Maybe a eMail to them specifying your(our) objections to Leaf would get him replaced. Worth a try. His criminal record, a public record, should be enough to accomplish this. Karma, Ryan, Karma!
