NAU's Daniel Britt NO Stats vs Arizona

Seems like Bobby (and crew) are pretty good at going out and finding already established QBs looking for a home, and convincing them to come to UM and be THE MAN, and then use the crap out of them and hope like hell they don't get hurt. As far as developing QBs? Track record is absolutely terrible for that.

Ask Dalton Sneed, Cam Humphrey and Lucas Johnson how they felt about playing for the Griz. I don't think any of them regret coming here. Outside of Tommy what QB's have the Cats developed? And you are talking about injuries. Look how the Cats have overused QBs. Anderson? Cat coaches beat the heck out of that kid. Tommy has been hurt the last two years. That concussion last year was about as scary of an injury as I have seen in awhile. Keep running him that much and it will have an adverse effect on his career. He is one big hit away from being done. I hope not because he is an awesome kid. But obviously from the last few months you can see the guy calling the plays isn't much on responsibility and safety.

This is the main issue. They caught lightning in a bottle two seasons ago as a Cinderella with a new QB who couldn't throw but could run. So, they did that. Over and over again, until they were so one-dimensional that they started calling FFGPTBs. Then last year it was, "Hey, guys, this worked, so let's keep doing it." because nobody associated with the program had ever experienced success like that at MSU. Dude gets knocked out on the field. Now, they have to decide whether to risk yet another guy's career by trying to do the same thing OR protect the QB. I hope the OC has learned there are more important things in life and will do the right thing, but I wouldn't bet on it. They've certainly bulked Tommie TD up quite a bit, but that's maybe another conversation.

All teams deal with injuries. Violence is the nature of the game. Ask the footballer flattened by Fouch.

Bubkittens love it when Sixx or some Drunken MSdUi uncoordinator calls completely pointless plays...

But, it sounded so much better when they're thoroughly drunk

All I have to go on is his brief relief experience when KB proved inadequate, and he provided the spark to actually move the team offensively. The rest of the story I don't know.

Britt is not listed for this weeks game on the 2 Deep at Grand Forks

Pretty sure he is missing the whole year with a broken back.

Rumor only. No confirmation that I can find in any publications or official sources. I searched the Arizona Sun archives and school athletic web site.

Coach Ball was quoted on August 28th about Britt getting a shot to play, and was still in battle for starter. Rumor was started by craigsmith89 on July 24. He has a total of 6 posts (all about Britt). Seems unlikely that Ball would be talking about Britt getting a chance 30 days later to media. That combined with no announcement seems suspicious to me. If out for year, NAU would’ve announced.
