nau firing, then hiring souers again on a one year contract can't help much with recruiting, can it(bqm) or did i miss something, and maybe there is some transition deal in the works, or something(bqm)

seems like they might have just put themselves in the bottom of the bsc for recruiting for the foreseeable future.

Matt Robinson, the kid who drop his commitment to the Griz, posted an offer form NAU on his twitter. Seems like coaches are being fired from everywhere he wants to go.

As I understand it, that whole mess down there is the whole reason Hauck is at UM right now.

If I remember correctly from Colter's appearance on T&T, Souers was fired and the VP of athletics hired a company to do a national search. Then she took at different job in the middle of that search and an interim VP was named, and they figured it was best just to retain Souers and figure it all out later. Hauck was all but a lock for the job, but the whole thing exploded when their VP abruptly quit.

Well not essentially. The coaches maybe haven't called from many of the places he wants to go.

Uh, no. You have it backwards. The mess didn't cause Hauck to come to UM. Hauck choosing UM created the mess at NAU.

Any chance Stitt lands at NAU in a year? Or (living in my imagination here), what if the AD brings on Stitt as offensive coordinator this year? His offense would seem to benefit at least a little from a dome. You gotta admit, having Stitt in the Big Sky would be pretty entertaining.. :D

For whatever it means, former Griz linebacker Andy Thompson, was promoted to be NAU's associate head coach at the same time.

Seems like a well-run organization!

looks like they just fired their offensive coordinator and special teams coach also.

An opening for Pflu at OC?

More like his son will get that job is my prediction.

No way. Can't imagine a young receiver coach who has coached on a few years is going to be the OC. Robin and Jerome know each other well.

NAU’s new AD knows Phlu really well.

NAU beat writer would disagree with you. Apparently he wanted to make him the OC last year.

Thanks for info, but I see that Sauers said exactly what I said, i.e. that Aaron "was not quite there yet", in terms of being an OC.

Well he said that over a year ago so I’m just saying I wouldn’t say “no way.” I think it’s pretty possible. He doesn’t want to lose him to a ASU or something.
