Love the optimism, but I think we're gonna' get rolled!

After viewing the Liberty game, I gotta agree. We have some great players, obviously, but the supporting cast is weak, so maybe not rolled, but, Jerome goes home with a "W." One poster this week said the Griz are a mediocre team. At this point, yes. Reminds me of the 2010 season, no urgency. The Griz have not turned the corner, especially on offense. Eastern, Southern Utah, Cats, and possibly Sioux look like bad times for the maroon and silver. Take off the maroon colored glasses. I'll pass on the Kool-Aid.

NAU 33
UM 30

And before everyone bashes me, I am 6 for 6 on all the Cat and griz games this year.

You're a real rocket scientist predicting the Griz would lose in Boone.

At halftime Liberty had ZERO yards rushing. NAU is a rushing team. NAU hasn't beaten the Griz since '95. Jerome has NEVER beaten the Griz. Don't read too much into beating UNLV.

I'll take the Griz in this one.

what is it about nau that people think they'll beat you at home?! never thought i'd see the day...

griz win by 10+
Seriously. The App State game in 2009 is probably the single time we've been the underdog in our own stadium in the last decade or two...

I respectfully disagree. I think the intensity is there, and all we need to do is shore up our passing offense as well as the secondary on defense, and were a top ten team. You're entitled to your opinion, Im just curious as to what you've seen so far this year that would cause you to think the Griz are worse off than NAU, who isn't even in the top 25? For that matter, what have you seen in NAU that you'd think they're better than the Griz.

This is NAU's national championship, so they will come in fired up.

BUT the Griz will win just like they always do at home. Nuff said.

(This post could be used for any home game...lol)

Paytonlives is a stud! I love reading his posts. Always has good points, and very rarely gets into the junk that this message board seems to attract itself to, pointless smack talking through computers. He always has interesting takes backed by facts (what a novel concept).

You don't need to here this from people like me, because unlike other people on this message board you don't do it because you need to hear how great you are, you do it because you really enjoy GRIZ FOOTBALL! Anyway KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK PAYTONLIVES! I assume there are many people like myself that enjoy your posts!

This will be an interesting matchup and a great way to open up the conference season. Strength against strength with the NAU run oriented offense going against the UM run defense. I think these will neutralize each other and the game will come down to NAU's run defense against UM's run offense and how both of the passing games can perform. I actually do not think UM's passing game is that far away from having a huge breakout. Would love to see that this weekend. I did not think that the Griz pass defense was all that bad against Liberty even though they did give up over 300 yards passing. About half of that was on 4 plays, but there is definitely room for improvement. If the pass coverage is as good or better than it was last week the Griz will win this game by two scores. I am not sure that NAU has really been tested yet. One blowout loss, one blowout win and a close win against a less than impressive FBS foe.

Prediction is 41-24 Griz.
