MBBALL NAU vs GRIZ

That was a much better second half, especially the last 10 minutes. Griz really took control, attacked the rim, and fouled guys out. That’s how this teams gonna win! We need Moore and Kai to get it going on offense or this tournament is gonna be really sweaty. Happy for Whitney to have a huge night and congrats to the boys on out rebounding NAU. That’s tough to do! Day off now. Let’s go Vandals!

MOORE and Johnson were both off tonight, we desperately need these guys for the next couple of games.
Moore, our Gun from outside, hit one from downtown and four free throws, for a total of seven points.
Johnson hit one field goal and two free throws, for a total of four points.
Hopefully these guys will come around in the next couple games. We are accustomed to more players being in double figures. We only had two players and double figures tonight and that was Whitney and Money.

Absolutely, Livingston--I don't think I am exaggerating by stating without Branden and Money tonight, we are on the bus right now driving back to Missoula.

I know Kai and Malik are beat up, but we're going to need more out of both of them to win the semi's and then hopefully the finals !!!

If Kai and Moore are unable to get it going at the tourney, then we need Patterson to step up. He played good last night but he only took 2 shots on the night. Now granted he made them both but it seems he may be the only one that can make a 3 right now. Not even Money could make one. Somebody else has gotta get going though and help Money and Whitney.

I wonder if Moore's shooting shoulder is bothering him. The last few games I've noticed a lot of the "cupping" treatment marks along the back of his shooting arm/shoulder. Hopefully some of it is getting used to shooting at the arena during a game as well. There were A LOT of missed point blank baskets by both teams and quite a few mid-range jump shots and threes that looked good/online, but rattled in and out.

Whitney coming back has become a much bigger deal than ever realized. He is so damn clutch and can almost score at will when he drives or draw a foul….and he’s money from the FT line. He put the team on his back in Bozeman and started driving and scoring and he did the same thing here. What a stud.

He's been unconscious at the line lately - he's made like 41 of his last 45 free-throws or something like that.

Anybody catch the interview with Dan Hurley, the UConn coach, on 60 Minutes last night? Very interesting. Said that while most college teams seek to emulate the pro's in their pick-and-roll-heavy offensive schemes, he looks more to the way Europeans play offense, with a lot more movement off the ball, backdoor cuts, et. al. With two straight Chippers in the bag, you could hardly argue with him. Might be worth keeping an eye on.

We play stellar, top-level defense, and we've got more offensive weapons than we've had in a long time. Just hope we can survive those inevitable scoring droughts.
