NAU vs. GRIZ: Must Win !!!

I had lunch in Billings today with two of my fellow GRIZ alum, both of them attorneys so I plead guilty to keeping bad company.

The three of us decided that Saturday's game against NAU is a must win if we want to have any chance of repeating as Big Sky champs and getting back to Frisco and hopefully winning it all this year. ( Given how badly our defense has played this year, I think both goals, while very highly unlikely and implausible,, are still technically possible.)

But if we lose Saturday, realistically, we are looking at best an 8-4 season and at worst, 6-6 or even 5-7, we won't repeat as Big Sky champions and if we make it to the playoffs, no first-round bye, maybe we get one home game and then we're on the road if we win that first game.

If we win, hopefully we heal up during our bye next week, we finish strong @ 9-3, get a first-round bye, and host at least a couple of playoff games before going on the road for the semi's. While I hope that we finish @ 10-2 by winning out, I just can't picture us going 6-0 when I have these images of our inept defense flash before my eyes in 5 of our first 6 games !!!

I am stuck working in Billings on Saturday while my rich GRIZ friend attorneys attend Homecoming. Have fun and Go GRIZ !!!

AGAIN? JFC! I've had my share of shift work over the years, and sucky scheduling by some of the 'best' scheduling a**holes on the planet, but PLAN AHEAD and get your time off well in advance. You aren't indentured to the job, so take control of your situation.
I had one job which continually screwed me over, until I struck back and got my 'pound of flesh' and then some. I won't go into specifics, but I got them back, in spades.👿 One of my co-workers figured out what I did, and confronted me with a laugh and '...you devious SOB!'
Food for thought.

Your approach doesn't work in most situations.
