I still look for 4, 5 W's this season.
You have got to be kidding? Who do you see them beating? If you want to bet on it I'll take anyone left on their schedule straight up for as much as you want. The lone exception would be New Mexico and I'll have to think about that one.

I liked BH at UM, would be happy if he was still with the Griz, But he's out at UNLV. I actually don't think it will be during the season simply because I don't think UNLV gives enough of a rats ass about its own football program to make that move. I say he coaches through 2012 and is fired a week after the Rebs lose their last game. And honestly, he deserves to be let go, not because of what the haters think, he's not a jerk to the fans or media down there actually. He deserves to be fired because he is presiding over an ungodly bad football team that has now lost to two FCS schools and overall, like 85 percent of the games he's coaches in Vegas. That's just not good enough no matter how much "progress" Grizzoula aka David2 says is being made. The Rebs are just rediculously bad bad and BH must take the blame for it, just like at any other FBS program in America.

So, tell me why, for the first time in his career, BH loses to JS, when the first 7 times at MT he beat him? What's with that dynamic? Is it BH's personnel? The Griz had better personnel? BH has departed from what worked for him at UM? What? It couldn't be the latter because his system is the same as at UM.

Maybe it's not so much BH as it is the program. If that's so, then BH is still a good coach. Maybe that's why many of you say he's "in over his head." Not so much that he's in the FBS now, but that he's taken on a task that's impossible to improve. Certainly he wasn't "in over his head" in playing NAU. I don't get it.

Sorry Grizzoula, but in FBS college football, the "why" doesn't mean anything or matter. It's the W (wins) and the $ (money) that matters and BH hasn't gotten nearly enough of them and he'll be shown the door because of it.

That's not entirely true. However, I wouldn't be surprised if BH is fired after this season.

If Hauck would have stayed here he would have eventually bled our program back to the pack in the BSC. He got away with bad coaching for a while because he had the personnel to have his way with other teams. He was blessed with the advantages that went along with coaching UM in the BSC but when it comes to coaching he is not that good. In fact I don't think he's good at all.

You can blame his woes on a bad stadium or whatever but he is being exposed as the crappy coach he is. He's a glorified special teams coach if he's even that.

You ignore his coaching up many Griz players to the point they are now on NFL rosters, the most significant the ST players he coached. Maybe ask them the kind of coach BH was. BH was here for 7 years. What do you mean by "he would have eventually bled our program back..."? After 7 years he left the program in pretty good shape. 7 years is more than enough time to "bleed" a program.

Only thing is, if he'd still been here, Engstrom would have fired him for the same reasons I suspect he fired Pflu & O'Day.

Disagree Snookum. He did a good job here at MT. He might do a good job elsewhere. Though his ability isn't suited to turning around the Rebels. In their "glory years" UNLV has been a 500% team. Bobby will get fired (probably soon) but that was pre-ordained once he accepted a job in Las Vegas. It was just a question of how many seasons he could last.

P.S. D2, no a "half dome" stadium won't help this team. Though a real quarterback might. :ugeek:

You can watch Bobby Hauck and UNLV on Friday night. 7:00 MDT on ESPN.
Wazzu and Mike Breske are in Vegas.

Mick Dennehy goes to Utah St. - fired
Joe Glenn goes to Wyoming - fired
Bobby Hauck goes to UNLV - ????

The Griz coaching curse continues. When are these guys gonna learn that the grass isn't always greener? Money talks, unfortunately...

On the other hand, chances are very good that when Delaney leaves it will be due to retirement and not for a bigger paycheck with an FBS bottom feeder.

Just in time for Bobby to come back here! :)

as someone else said, he will end up as an assistant or coordinator at a 1-A school for a few years then maybe get another head job.

I'm sure Idaho, or Northern Colorado would take him...
