NAU QB into the portal

Damn, that's a tough loss for NAU. They've struggled to find consistency at QB since Cookus graduated, and they finally had that with Martinez. He was what made their offense go. They literally have nothing else on offense without him.
 
The portal sure does cut both ways. I can understand if an athlete has a talent and is not being utilized that he has that option, I don't however think it right for an athlete or a coach for that matter leaving a team with just a few games left as it has happened at NDSU. I would not bring in a player who does that, like how could I trust him with my team.

I would not bring in a player who does that, like how could I trust him with my team.
 
Doesn’t it seem like MSU and UM will be helped more than hurt by the portal? Kids from other programs that play games in Missoula or Bozeman will witness the outsized gameday experience firsthand.

Well I asked the question several weeks ago that if you could trade Toure and the punter to Nebraska for Walker and Forbes, would you make that trade? Because that’s essentially what happened.
