Seems like we have some scenery snobs among our midst. The DFW metroplex taken from a satellite at night occupies almost as much area as the outline of the state of Connecticut. Once when flying over the metroplex at night I felt the compulsion to time the distance on my wrist watch. In a jetliner at cruising altitude and cruising speed, I was over city lights for about 12 minutes. I'll bet they don't have any recruiting problems for an urban area of that size. The DFW area occupies about 30 counties and stretches for close to 100 miles latitudinally. I like cities and I like rural areas. I find things to admire in both of them.

The one thing I have always puzzled over is the "I live here" bigotry that makes shallow individuals feel superior to others, self conferring the power to look down on those who choose to live in some area where they do not live.

He was in the process of moving to Beulah ND where he was getting a $30k increase in salary.

Both of you make completely valid points. I don't care where people live, whatever makes you happy I always say. I personally don't like Dallas/FW and I think the people are incredibly arrogant. Even the TX dude above braggin about money he makes etc. I was raised a bit different than that so I guess I have a tough time understanding why people do that. My family ranches and farms in NE Montana so anyone who knows anything knows they do just fine financially. I've lived all over the world and have seen a lot of stuff and there are things about pretty much every place that I like, shoot i really enjoy the hill country in Texas but DFW/Houston/East Texas no thanks. There really is no place like the wild west, in my opinion of course. So i will retract my statement about Texas as a whole and limited the "shithole" comments to DFW/Houston/East Texas. I DO NOT look down on people living there I just don't like it, good for you if you like it whatever makes you happy.

I had a friend, while attending college, who was from Glendive MT. He would always give me shit for being from ND and how Montana was so much better, BUT HE GREW UP IN f***[*] GLENDIVE!!!!!! Always laughed about that one.

Haha hey now, I grew up in Glendive and it is a pretty area. With Makoshika and the Badlands running right into the Yelowstone River....now Sidney and Miles City...PUKEEEE

Cool. Glacier is awesome. Have fun. I will be there in March. Despite how awesome it is, I wouldn't go fucking snow shoe over watch your university in a national championship game.

Ha! Beat me to it. My wife's family is from Plentywood and they get lefse from Opheim every year around the holidays.

My wife is from Westby and their farmland is all over that area, Outlook, Plentywood, Westby, and even around the airbase at Fortuna.

Flights are far easier and cheaper to DFW than Chatty. I hope it does not leave Frisco.

Dallas is such a shitstain of a place...well most of Texas is for that matter but I see your logic i suppose, I just really liked Chatty always thought they did a nice job.

How many construction cranes are there where you are as opposed to the Plano/Frisco area? The only thing I remember about Chattanooga is bad weather and a field that the turf came up. I was there for the 2000 game. Nothing remarkable to remember about the place. Enjoy eating pine cones in your little slice of Shangri-La.

I was there as well TxGriz! Nothing really against Chatty but nothing really to write home about either.

My wife went to Chatty in 04. Had a bitch of a time getting there because of storms, causing flight delays. They met up some where and drove over an hour to get there.

She loved it once she got there and said Chatty treated the Griz fans like Kings and Queens. Took some beautiful pics.
