According to the good folks at Fosgate, I had the first Fosgate amp in Montana in '78. It was bi-amped, 50W per channel, 4 channels with an equalizer and LED meter display. They had to implement a "cold weather mod" to get it to work in the winter based on a problem I found. Before that I was out there with a hairdryer heating it up so it would turn on. It WAS raw power for the day. It would cause the cones of the pathetic 6x9 woofers to easily bottom out. Mounted in my '68 Pontiac Catalina it was acoustically awesome! nothing in the day could touch it. Somewhat ironically a year later I went off to school in Phoenix and lived just walking distance from the Fosgate factory.grizfnz said:snap said:
