Nate Harris suspended for opener.

I knew a guy back in the day that loved to tell big stories like Growler. We had to apply the BS factor. It works like this: take what he says and cut it in half, then take the square root of that, and then 10% of that to get the truth. Here is the equation: truth = 0.1(√(lie/2)) For instance, if he told us he saw 200 elk, he really only saw 1. [200 cut in half is 100, the square root of that is 10, 10% of that is 1].

When we apply the BS factor to Growler's magic number of "30" here is what we get:
0.387 = (0.1(√(30/2)).

So that sounds about right. Instead of 30 black players from California getting in trouble what we really have is 0.387 such players, which is the equivalent of Tru getting in trouble for saying dumb shit on twitter once before too.

that is awesome.

Here's a futile plea for tolerance. Live and let live, whether you're Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Mormon or athiest.

Oops, spelled "atheist" wrong.

Like I said before, they lied to us about the whole "i before e" thing..what else are they lying to us about??

Wow, a cat fan got aroused when you brought in a math formula. They must have a math prereq at state. I hope this suspension is a wake up call for the team. Delaney appears to mean what he says and no candy bars at practice like the pflu.

Hey, I heard Nate Harris was suspended for the first game. Anyone know something about this?

Can't help you with that, Doc!

But, what I can tell you is that a #16 Brown Humpy will catch more fish than a Rapala or Panther-Martin!!

So many pages to go through didn't read every post but Harris was suspended for showing up to great griz encounter wasted.

If that is true then the suspension is well warranted. And any of you who think Bobby Hauck or Robin Pflugrad would have let something like this slide is clueless. Mick did what both of those two would have also done.

Business as usual at UM. Players get punished when they screw up.

Worse, still, it is a UNIVERSITY related board....nothing more pathetic than an angry, racist white man..this board has become a liability for decent UM fans.

But it is fine to be an angry, anti-Christian white man bigot....
Way to take the high ground.

:coffee:
kPlease tell me you are not a UM graduate..and, yes, I am no supporter of any religion. And I am proudly bigot when dealing with ignorant racists. In fact, the more decent people stand up to them, the less they will be heard. That racism, as purely expressed in this thread is allowed to flourish, speaks more about the site and you, the religious "moderator" than anything I could post.

And yet you feel perfecly justified in bashinhg people's religions where you wouldn't dream of doing it based on color or sexual preference. Hypocrite.
Stick with racism, it seems to be something you sanction, here.

As a matter of FACT, there were actually 16 players, not 30. So, I was wrong. I will admit it. But several players (like Vernon Smith) had multiple problems. The number 16 still validates my contention. The facts are there. It is NOT racism to simply look at the facts.

It is a fact that approximately 75% of federal prison inmates are either black or Hispanic. Yet, both ethnicites are are minor components of our society as far as percent of the population goes. Just the facts, but anyone who points them out is a racist.

Sorry, but that "1/32 black..." comment made me laugh my old, tired ass off! It might be funny to only me, but I still got a very big kick out of it, and I thank you for that, Growler! :thumb:

I have a lot of free time, and I spend most of it fishing. I mostly fly fish, but lately, I've taken a step down and tried spin casting. Havin' been quite successful in the local creeks and rivers around Missoula with that method, I'd strongly suggest a #1 black & yellow, 1/32oz Panther-Martin.
Try that in the Missouri between Holter Dam and Craig and you will nail them.

I am floating the Missouri River in late September. Fly fishing only. Grizo, you need to go back to fly fishing.

You bring your flyrod and flies and I'll bring my ugly stick and a few rapalas and panther martins and catch 5 times the fish as you will. True fact.

you probably eat 'em too. I am strictly a sport fisherman, into catch-n-release only. I used to sling hardware, but now I have progressed to the art of fly-fishing.

Simply could not join this fray. U know Growler is becoming restless before our first game. He hides the truth about Nate Harris, throws all the good Griz fans off......... the reasons for the suspension.

Hand it to ol Growler. He hides the truth about what caused Nate to become tossed.

Threw some race, native american, saudi, tung and general fishing with flies or worms into it. Notice how in the end we all are fishing? Naw old Growler knew what he was doing all along. Meantime we all forgot that Nate was caught fishing without a license. Thanks Growler for taking the heat!

Now back to the game. Go Griz.

I will have to admit, you are closer to what is real that you think..... ;)

This is what Growler does to threads.

ya pretty remarkable all around. doubt any more people than a few on this board even know what the kids did! dude could have been late to film or something and he's suddenly lumped in with other idiots and called out on being black and being from out of state! ridiculous.....even for this board.

don't get me wrong. you break a rule, you get punished. ideally you stop breaking rules. but jesus people. settle down. and if you don't know what the crime was......STFU......

And, if you don't know what a REAL football team looks like, stop following a pretender!

when are you going? i hear that one of our personal trainer's younger brothers is meeting pete carrol there who has an assistant that used to scout big sky teams going about that time too. and he said first hand....denarius mcghee has a huge history of injuries and there is no way he finishes this season.

luckily, he will be fishing with another assistant for the 'hawks who used to date a beauty at central washington that hailed from spokane originally. this doll had a younger brother who was recruited by every school in the northwest besides the griz because they didn't want him. despite his obvious disappointment about this, he went ahead to UW and was dorm mates with nick montana. nick said first hand that if DM goes down which we all know he will, that he'll pack his bags immediately as his life long dream was to be a bobcat. montana will be our starter come october. take it to the bank.

isn't it great the information you get just casually floating down the river? :thumb:
