Nate Harris suspended for opener.

IF, i felt like it, I could name at least 50 kids from California who have played for Griz who never, at least publicly got in trouble. And if I really felt like it, I could name plenty of kids form plenty of other states who HAVE gotten in trouble while playing for the Griz. But there's just no arguing it with Growler. He would prefer Montana to have an all-white football team and there's no changing his mind.

Growler is undoubtedly one of those people who thinks the Boston Celtics were a "white" franchise even though their two dynasties would have never happened if not for great people like Bill Russell, Robert Parish, Cornbread Maxwell, K.C. Jones and many others.

Agreed. Why does it always seem to be these California dudes who get into trouble? I know, JJ is from Oregon, and the other kid charged with rape is from Missoula, but you will have to admit, if you are honest, that our players from California always seem to be in the middle of trouble. Think about it, even though it is not politically-correct in Obama's World of playing the race card whenever in doubt. Now flame away, because I posted what should be obvious.

Come on man... The sh!t you type is quit amusing. LMAO!!!

You could not be more wrong. I am not talking about ancient history. I am giving you FACTS from California black players who have played for the Griz since Hauck became coach. If you choose to spin it like a good Democrat, then do so. But, evertone who has a clue knows that I am right. I could list 30 black players in the past 10 years who have had run-ins with law, beaten their girlfriends, brandished guns downtown, killed a person, pistol-whipped a man while robbing him, etc. etc. You can not name 10 white players during that same time frame who did similar things, even though there are 400% more white players on the roster.

You might have a clue if you stopped trying to be politically-correct, and looked only at the facts.

Bingo. If a black athlete gets in trouble isn't it interesting how he always crawls out from under his rock, removes his hands from up his ass, and spews made up numbers and nonsense to further his own personal racial holy war, all the while accusing other people of being the ones who bring up race. And as usual he does this without even knowing what the kid did.

A "violation of team rules" could be a number of things including many minor. Team rules are team rules of course, and it's good to see that they are being enforced...but lets not blow this whole thing out of proportion and start treating Harris as if he's some criminal..

It's like Christmas for Stevie when someone who isn't a good ol' white boy like him gets in trouble even if it's something minor.

Of course though..little Stevie has black friends too...right Stevie? And you probably were right there with MLK too...right?

mlk.jpg

Name em them, because I promise you you can NOT name 30 different african american players who have been CHARGED with a crime in Missoula county, and if they haven't been charged, then produce photos to prove the crime please. Otherwise, you are just being a gossip mongering racist. But, by all means, you show me the proof and I will be the very first to sincerely apologize for jumping to false conclusions about your views on race. And I'm not talking smack, I mean that sincerely. But I can pretty much bet I won't be apologizing because I know full well you don't have the goods.

And for YOUR information, I know exactly why Nate Harris is suspended and it's NOT for anything that you listed and has NOTHING to do with criminal activity. And it IS something about 25 percent of ALL Griz football players, regardless of race has probably done one in their career right up through last season, but team rules have changed now, and this one wouldn't have been a violation under some other coaches. So he doesn't count in your "black player off the field trouble list". Having said that, there is a list of team rules, he broke one and he's suspended and good for Mick to sticking to his guns.

Nice try, double-wide. But, you fall short as usual, as your wife explained to me.

Wow has this turned pathetic. Some kid has a team violation and it turns into the civil rights movement.
Saturday better get here fast before some of you may explode.

I will not waste my time, even though I could provide the names if I wanted to. You know I am right, but you will not admit it. We never have more than 20% black players on the team, but these 20% commit more than 50% of the crime. Doesn't it get tiring trying to be politically correct all of the time?

You didn't say that initially. You SAID, you could name 30 black players who have been charged with a crime while playing football for Montana. I called you out on it. But you're right, as I said, this is a waste of time. You want an all-white Griz team and no one can change you're mind about that. But if you are worrying about it night and day, you're the one wasting your own time because it WILL NEVER EVER HAPPEN. LOL.

Not going to flame away. I just think you are wrong. You gave two examples in your justification that actually contradict your arguement. I will give you another. Maus. Missoula boy. What about Stuberg? Helena boy. Granted, those are examples. But so are yours. Someone with more time than me and someone who actually gives a crap could go back and look at public records of football players and find out what percentage of them are from what state. All I care about is that he did something wrong and is being held accountable. It is a path this team and university needs.

B.S. to your "correction"! i just counted the black players on the current Griz roster. There are 15 of them, out of 73 on the fall roster. That is 20%. Yet, that 20% has accounted for more than 50% of the off-field incidents. This means that the black UM players are 400% more likely to commit off-field indiscretions than the others. Go ahead and use the race card with me. I don't care. I only state facts, which many can not deal with.

Like I said. Show me the public records that show me the 20% has accounted for more that 50% of the off-field incidents. You used the race card, not me. You used a few examples and anecdotes. Thats what I used. Just show me the statistics that back up your argument. That is all I asked. Sounds to me like you are trying to bait someone into calling you a racist. Go fishing somewhere else. I just want you to back up your ascertions with facts and statistics.

Go Griz!!

It is not the fact that they are black. It is the fact that they are good athletes, most from the hood, who had some off-field issues in high school which caused the FBS boys to back away. Then, in comes Bobby Hauck to scoop them up and 'give them another chance". let me clue all of you in on FBS recruiting.

Some teams will not sign a kid with ANY off-field issues. Others, will over-look these issue IF that player is a big-time difference-maker. They will pass on any fringe player. Then, there are the thug schools like West Virgina, and Miami, who will take ANY questionable kid if he is an athlete. Get out of Montana and become educated about big-time college football.

Of course you wont. That would actually require you to verify your statements with facts. It is easier to bait people with hyperbole than it is to use facts.
