I was able to get my hands on some actual game tape this week through a friends friend. I haven’t discussed a word with any coach or anyone, this is just sort of my take in terms of what I would do in a super short summary.
They play a lot on cover 1 and blitz 5 more than most teams. 2 things I’ve thought when playing those types of teams are to trade motion to try to hold their eyes and change assignments. In the pass game, they busted from time to time. So I would think that I could catch them with motions they haven’t seen. When they rush 5, I like gap schemes in the run (dart, power, trap, and sweep types). They turn into a 51 box so you can waste a defender by getting 2 in a gap.
Defensively they pass a lot and rely on that dudes arm. I would personally blitz the shit out of them and challenge their guys to make plays.
