This is my new working theory. Just a hunch…..l
Bobby knew on some level that he may retire and walk away. He wrestled with it since the season ended. He told Justin Green about this and encouraged him to go get some FBS experience so that he could then come back in a year or two to be the guy in Missoula.
He was finally able to get BK to join the staff as he knew this would be a perfect replacement once he and the staff built the roster for the next year. He knew this would give his current staff a chance to all stay together and would minimize players leaving as well.
Hauck is one of the most detailed and organized guys out there. Sundberg said on the GFP that Hauck’s calendar was scheduled out to the “t” each year and he knew exactly where or what he’d be doing many many months down the road. A guy like that doesn’t just up and leave one day without a detailed plan.
He went out his way on his terms, but he has had a bigger plan in play all along.
Maybe? Just maybe?
