My God, Relax Griz nation

Yes, the Griz got beaten badly - we got it. Now get over it and realize this happens when you play sports. It does not happen when you risk nothing and do nothing.

The Griz are a good team and will bounce back. My friends and family will be there to support them and watch them succeed. For the fans who choose not to come that’s fine - it will be your loss.

It was only a year ago that the Griz beat the Cats badly. The Cats rebounded remarkably and made it to the championship game. They lost but damn they and their fans had fun.

I’m putting the loss behind and looking forward to a bright future. I will miss watching O’Connell play defense with an unbridled intensity, I’ll miss Mitch nabbing the must-catch balls on third down, I’ll miss Ford with his tenacity for the turnover, I’ll miss Lucas’s fantastic talent when he’s 100 percent and yes, I’ll miss Robby’s ability to play damn tough against guys much bigger.

Go Griz, damnit.

It always baffles me how different things can seem in this conference from week to week, let alone from year to year. I always hear from people that we will know so much more after next weeks games. Next weeks games come and go and everyone says the same thing the very next week. Trust me people, things are going to look s lot different to everyone by the end of the playoffs and if they don't they certainly will come spring ball time.

I mostly like your post. But the bright future for the Griz starts this weekend. So you won’t need to be missing O’Connell, Mitch and the boys for too long …

And look forward to the returners next season but you are right, these seniors need and deserve our full support.

That is a great post, Homer. Well said. It's nice to see someone who understands and appreciates sport.

This is a great post and we need more like it. Potential recruits and their families get on this site and please remember that when people post all this negative crap. Better yet, go to Bobcat Nation and spew your crap on their site. Losses are going to happen and true Griz fans will still be supportive. I was at UM in the early to mid 60's and the highlight of my 4 years was getting to see Merlin Olson play in the Utah State game with a massive crowd of maybe 5000

The loss last Saturday and Hauck's refusal to step into 2022 will cost the Griz far more recruits than what someone posts on egriz.

A playoff run will help rectify a lot of ills. I believe this team can and will pull a rabbit out of their hat. Sometimes a good ass kicking sets things back on track. People don’t realize that recruiting is a multi faceted and complex task. That was before the portal! I don’t worry about the Grizzlies having the ability to recruit. I worry about their schemes and player development. I am willing to bet that Bob Hauck doesn’t like losing at anything. I am hopeful he will make needed changes this off season. Until then, I plan on attending this Saturday and go from there. Go Griz!

Exactly. And if a recruit (or their family) get butthurt by something posted on a fan message board, they probably don’t have thick enough skin to handle Phenice, Rosey, or Bobby’s approach anyways.
