Faves:
-Totally decisive win for the Griz! Felt great, builds confidence in fans, coaches and players. Keep it rolling!
-#37, Jordy Tripp's run back play-of-the-game TD. Awesome!
-Both QB's played well, loved McKinney recovering near turnover.
-Kemp's back and looking good!
-The weather was much better than expected - felt good out there in WaGriz today.
-Decent turnout initially (24k+)
Not so faves:
-Where did everyone go after the half? Pretty frickin' empty 3rd and 4th quarter.
-Slippery hands on D - at least 2 should-have-been picks dropped.
Best of all:
Finally a reason for this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyEhomXNYyE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Brzecek got some time in today, he had a nice long run for a TD. Didn't see the last part of the game, so not sure if he got any throws in considering they were trying to run out the clock, but woulda been nice to see him throw it

Actually, all three played well, with Brzeczeck scoring a TD.
The crowd was absolutely pathetic after half-time. I don't know: fans don't show when the team is losing, fans don't show when the team is winning ... what's the answer?

Didn't mean to leave out #6!
I don't know, '68. They complain about losing but don't show for a virtual sure win. Disappointing. Had lots of fun today without them though.

Counts, Canada and Kirschner, #6 on Offense
Holt, Holmes, Tripp on Defense
The start of the next great Griz winning streak today!

Cold weather and snow storms meant that with the big lead people tried to get back before all the roads turned to ice.

Really? It wasn't that cold, and perhaps there were snow storms somewhere, but it still hasn't snowed in Missoula.

The butte pass was pretty bad IMO.

I agree with '68 again...not buying it. With all of the raucous, filled-to-capacity play off games all the way into December in past years, no one can blame the weather. Lots of locals missing too, I assume. Our boys should have had a full house watching them sing the fight song yesterday. The 12th man matters.

Quote from ISU associate coach, Don Bailey, after yesterday (even with so many missing):
"The crowd makes it hard when you are doing silent count. We are certainly not the only team who has a tough time with their rush. They lead the league in sacks. We knew they were going to get after us. They get a jump on us because of the silent count and that's a big deal playing in this building. That's an extreme advantage, that most teams at this level do not have week in and week out at home."

I really think people need to get off this "fair weather fan" kick especially those who live in Missoula. Its easy to get up, head to the Missoula club(or where ever) and go to the tail gates. I get up at 5:45 with kids in tow and drive 200 miles to and from. I missed Saturday because we had an invitation to hunt a piece of private property(it was our week end). It would be interesting to see how many of the Missoula fans travel to away games. Yes I'm asking people to to hold off judgement before declaring people Fair weather fans." By the way a 15 year old boy died in a single car accident on I-15 near Vaughn on Saturday morning due to icy roads. The 52 year old driver went into a spin and the truck rolled. This has been a tiring season. We all feel the pain of being out of things so early on but to begin classifying isn't the answer.

playoff games are never sold out. I think people are in a state of confusion right now, go and support the kids or stay home and vote with your dollar about the way this fuck wad of a president handled things so poorly. I know I am. I don't blame them. Want the kids to do well and win, but still want the wad to know that his ego cost two men with high character theri jobs, and that the people want a person of low character and absolutely no courage to be fired...namely him.

You can blame this on fairweather fans all you want...I don't think it's the case. And you (the royal you, as in everybody) can bad mouth them all you want, but I don't blame them one teensy little bit.

I would guess that there were a few empty seats due to the fact this is the second weekend of hunting season and the change in weather which is going to improve the odds of filling the freezer. I know I struggled with deciding between the forecast and the tickets on top of the fridge. For me the game won out because of the schedule over the next two weeks.
