I predict that Trent, very much like JJ last year, will be gradually worked into a more expansive offense as the season goes on, assuming he continues to succeed at being the starting QB. We might not see dynamic QB play (just like last year) until November.

Last year we had Brody McKnight and a well proven defense to keep us in and win games. This offense has to be able to at the minimum move the sticks and help keep the defense off the field. We can ill afford the defense on the field as much as in the past. We don't have the players like Dirt, Tru, and McCord to weather that storm.

In all seriousness.............the QB is the biggest concern. Thats what the thread is right? If we can't make 1st downs and keep the defense off the field then...................Tru and Dirt we're proven seniors. Heck 1/3 of the field was off limits to opposing offenses. Many have stated that last years defense could have been the best in years. We need to be able to at least move the sticks!

This years defense and the defense for the next 2 years will be amazing! We have the size up front like we have never had ever before, speed and size at LB never seen at UM, and Harris, Lebsock and Hermy will all be as good as we have had in past years. Im very excited to see these guys dominTe games.

Good post. We have always been able to get at least 3 points when our drives stalled, which they did all too often under Hauck and Pflu. But, we can not count on the 3 this season. So, we are going to have to finish drives, something that we could not do in the two scrimmages held this fall.

Losing a good kicker is always a huge concern. Really shows how important special teams are.
