MVP, MVP, MVP, MVP!!!

How do you figure he "lucked" into AJ? He saw the potential, recruited him, and we got him. Now Tinkle is coaching him and he just may be the MVP. If so, can Tinks not be the coach of the year? Another road win tonight....does that hurt Robo?

I agree, Tinkle 100 % deserves credit for landing AJ. However, even if the GRIZ win out. Barring a major choke job by Weber State, Weber State's, Rahe is most definitely BSC Coach of the year. As for BSC player of the year, Anthony Johnson, HANDS DOWN!

Gotcha... got a little ahead of myself..... I completely agree with what your saying though.... watched him up until January in missoula... then moved to phoenix..... I'll be at the game tomorrow in Flagstaff.... I have a "hunch" that AJ gets between 20 & 25 :D

Phoenix huh...that explains your bleachjob.

When in Rome right?? :D :D Another great game by the griz..... AJ, Hasquet, Sharp continue to play well....have we ever had a player as unappreciated as Kyle Sharp??? He has really become our "glue guy". Its really looking like Jordan and AJ's games our meshing nicely and they are complimenting each other about as nicely as a bleach blond coif and and a leathery tan..... go griz!!

he is pretty good but i think that kellen mcroy will win it from weber

Mccroy is a good player, and might even deserve the award most years. But in conference play, he's scoring 6 points less per game than AJ, with the rest of their stats nearly identical. I don't know how one could vote him ahead of AJ.

Take each player out of the lineup and try to determine how each school would fare without that player. I think UM would fare the worst without AJ then WSU would without Kellen. Therefore, I think AJ is more valuable than Kellen.

A.J. has been a very nice/welcomed addition to the Griz. Whatta a good player! From all accounts, he sounds like a high quality guy as well. Saw him on the coaches show. It's a nice (and unique) story with him and his Lady Griz wife, pretty cool situation for them.

I'd agree with most that A.J. has "a shot" at the NBA if he continues to impress/improve. He atleast, as mentioned, has an extremely good shot at an overseas (lucerative) professional career. Either way that's a great accomplishment.

Having a night in and night out confident scorer on the floor has been fun to watch. I like his calm, competent demeanor. He is raising everyone elses game with his presence out there. I think a BSC MVP award is deserving.

Just a sidenote on Grizzly basketball, has everyone else noticed how the Griz are 7-0 since Ceylon Elgin Taylor has returned? His role has been reduced, but I know the players love having him back and he definitly adds a lot to the team...makes UM more athletic.

5'6" senior guard, Weber State leading scorer, leading rebounder, and nicknamed "Mighty Mouse" by either Ken "I got a" Bone(r) or Wayne Tink "erbell" le. He is the MVP my friends. Close race with AJ, though.

McCoy looked nothing close to a MVP last night. 2 - 9 shooting for 7 points. 2 assists in 33 minutes. Had multiple shots blocked by UM. Weber had 5 players better than McCoy last night, and so did UM.
