Mustangs coming to town

And I LOVE and HATE Cal Poly playing at Wa/Griz Stadium. I love it because the atmosphere is one of the best in the FCS and a great experience. I hate it because the Griz usually find a way to pull out a win against the Mustangs. The Mustangs have played some great games against the Griz there, but have only managed 1 win. I expect another great battle again this weekend.

Dude, I think you're right. I don't want any part of the Mustangs. Bring up some Santa Maria tri-tip so we will have something to write home about.

I remember 2 years ago when we pulled it out, that took a few years off my life which I can't spare.

Have to say, outside of Griz, Cal Poly is my next favorite FCS team. Was on the sideline a few years ago for the OT thriller. Ears never hurt so bad. Look forward to talking with you this week Slo.

I was right behind the CP bench and there was a a kid who was jawing with the crowd most of the game, that game was intense.

Was right beside No Zone posts when Brock leaped and caught that interception. Only way I can describe it is take your stereo, set it to a AM station that doesn't broadcast, turn it on half volume. Then when a really big play happens, go full blast. That is the only way I could ever describe how loud and almost ear piercing annoying our crowd gets. :thumb:

Hey, if you punch a triple option qb in the mouth enough he becomes just an option qb.

:thumb: hit the qb on every play, it'll stop the long runs that killed us last year. Make them on dimentional, make them get the edge vs our fast defense.

I have been to Missoula 4 times to watch the Mustangs take on the Griz and I have had a blast every time. Missoula is a great town and I love how it lives for Griz football. Wish I could make the trip again this year, but unfortunately I am buried at work. I will however be seated in front of my TV for three hours Saturday wishing I was there. Would love talk football in person over many cold ones with some of the best fans in the FCS before and after the game. I have nothing but respect for Montana.

And we you.

Slo, sorry you can't make it.

You probably are the best opposing fan we hear from -- unlike some jackasses in a couple directions much closer to home,

Congrats on the great win. Now on to what I believe will be another hard nose football game with the Mustangs stampeding into Missoula. Can not wait.

I love it when the fellas from Cal Poly come to town. That group of guys are awesome!

Montana was awesome last Saturday....my son and I were cheering our heads off for the Griz!

This week is a different story .......I love watching Cal Poly play at Montana.

Hope it's a great game

GO POLY!

Nothing but respect for Poly. Slo is the best BSC rival poster on this board.

Cannot stand playing them. I've been letting my fingernails grow so I'll have plenty to chew on.

I believe it was the offense, not the defense, that let us down last year.

Hear me out.

We were tied 14-14 at halftime, had played ok, but not great, and at least we were moving the football. The TOP was pretty even, too.

However, in our four drives after halftime before our garbage time TD, we managed just 23 yards on 20 plays, punting all four times. We only managed to take 7 minutes of time off the clock in the 3rd and 4th quarter until our last TD.

We couldn't have played into CP's gameplan more if we tried.

Sure, KVA went out, which sucked, but it also coincided with our offense going stone cold.

I think things could end up a lot better this year against an even more inexperienced D than NDSU had. It might be a shootout, but if the offense can get us ahead and force Poly out if it's game plan, we'll be ok.

Should be a great game, though. :thumb:

I hate Cow Polyester, maybe more than any other BSC team, besides cat people. They and that offense are such muther fuckers!
Their fans are intelligent, respectful, and tough as nails, and their team even more so. Fuck, I just can't stand em. I want to hate them even more but they're just so damn smart and nice.
Why can't these a-holes be dumb jackasses and pansy-ass push-overs like the rest of the bigsky?
SLO, you especially can eat a dick, with your compliments and insightful posts. Fuck I dread this week every year.

I agree. If we can come out firing early and put up two or three scores, I think it'll be tough for them to make up the deficit, especially on the road. But my gut says this will be another tough one, like it usually is against them.

ISUs poor defense kept them to four scores in Holt last year. Stitts offense should be able to do much better than four scores. 'Cotton Eyed Joe' will play many times Saturday night. Griz by 20.

Will this game be available online?
Yes. It will be on Big Sky TV.

Not sure about Big Sky TV Saturday. I just perused the Big Sky Conference web site and was unable to find any reference to Big Sky TV. Hope I'm wrong.
