BTW, they act like this is something new and groundbreaking. Hell, my brother’s undefeated ‘82 Florence Falcons team traveled all the way to Baker for the state Class C championship game. Only to have the game called at halftime because Baker was cooking them, 50-0. Wind was blowing 50 f***[*] miles an hour and Baker had a RB that I think went on to Notre Dame or some shit like that....now THAT was a long drive home after that ass whoopin’....
Well, you were close, well not really. Florence was undefeated in Class C in 1980 and traveled to Columbus for the state Championship, where they were beat 50-0 on a kickoff return for a touchdown at the start of 2nd half. I know, cause I was on one of the fan buses that made that long trip back to Florence that year. Columbus did in fact have one hell of a fine running back, Wayne Simons I believe, who went to play for Rocky in Billings. In the 1982 Class C championship in Class C, Ennis beat Wibaux 38-28
Yes, see my post above.
Ya, sorry, I did AFTER I made my post.
