msu vs Montana Grizzlies predictions

Then go somewhere else bigsky where people actually care what you think and feel. See you next week for a good old fashioned whippin--per usual. Loud mouths talk before the game and the Griz just show it with their play.

Well try something else cuz that ain't working.

Go Griz!!

Well if you think the griz will score 35, then I will have to up my prediction.

griz 35 - Cats- 68 :thumb:

Heck we even sandbagged the second half of PSU to not show you ALL our weapons, and they scored 30 on us...kinda. So, in that the griz are about as good as PSU, I'll let you have the 35, but we'll score at LEAST 68!

31 to 10 - Kramer doesn't run up the score and gives the second and third stringers plenty of time on the field. Let's hope we don't look past these guys - every year we seem to find one team a lot worse than us to lose to...

56-3 'Cats

As much as the smacker in me wants to put omething here, it just doesn't make sense.
MSU 56
Chadron State 0
Might be hard to see the ball, the way the weather is going.

MSU 70 Chadron 0
kramer is looking for volunteers by the 3rd quarter.

I'll give Chadron State 14 this week, but the Bobcats will put up 45. There you have it, Bobcats 45-14. Chadron State is a good team and the Cats better be ready to play come Saturday!

Cats-42
Chadron- Who gives a crap
If the Griz don't win against SDSU, I am sure it is because SDSU cheated by watching film

by BradB3030 on Wed Sep 06, 2006 9:47 am
Chadron was 4-4 in their RMAC division which looks rather unimpresive. We beat Chadron State in 97 and 99 by 10 points each time, with weak teams. I think this will be quite different, I'll go with 30-6.

by MM7CAT on Wed Sep 06, 2006 9:58 am
56-7.......MSU. Groves will have over 200 rushing.

by CelticCat on Wed Sep 06, 2006 10:40 am
I don't like this game. The Bobcat in me says we are going to struggle... we struggle too often with DII teams.
But this is a new team, with new leaders, and new coaches. So for that reason, I will put up new hopes.
Cats start a little sluggish and nervous in front of an energetic MSU crowd, but pull away starting right before halftime. Chadron has a good running game, and we didn't exactly play real well against CU.

Cats 31
Chadron 14

by El_Gato on Thu Sep 07, 2006 5:53 am
I too am of the mindset that this is a staff & team unlike any we've had under Kramer; talented, deep, and after last week's HUGE win, very confident! I know this is the perfect "stumble" game where overconfidence leads to a close win or even a loss in years past, but I don't think so this time...

Bobcats 38
Hanging Chad 6

Yeah, they have had plenty of experience tackling receivers after the catch. Should come in handy next Saturday.

Just do not see us being able to stop MSU on offense. I think the score will be something like

MSU 41
Montana 17

Griz win a wild one in MIssoula, Lider kicks a long field goal with time running out!

Brawl in the wild is ours! Cats go on to do what they are accustomed to do, tank in the playoffs against more real competition.....................

Why are you people so obsessed with talking about rape and drugs and not just football? It is really wierd. I thought this was a site to talk about football. In the Big Sky Conference we don't compete in rapes and drugs and crime. We compete in sports! Get real folks.
Are you fucking drunk....you're actually making sense for the first time in forever.

This game (now that the qb's both can throw the ball..took MSU a few years to catch up in that regard) comes down to the people in the trenches and the Griz have the edge there with their massive offensive line that tends to wear down our defensive line towards the end of the game.

Qbs: MSU has got the edge here. McGhee has more experience playing football than either McKinney or Shey who had a tendency to stare down his receivers vs Weber State.

RB - With Dan Moore playing these groups are about even. Both Peter Nguyen and O. Davis are speedsters that tend to fumble the ball when hit hard. Kirk and Moore are wrecking balls. I like MSU's group better but it UM's are explosive.

WR/TE - Edge goes to UM receivers here. I really like the combination of Gratton, Henderson and Hardy. Good with good size and speed. MSU counters with speedster Ellis, T. Bleskin if he is healthy enough to play and up and coming WR Floetekker who is turning into a really nice receiver.

OL - MSU is young, undersized but coached by one of the best Coaches at FCS level. Problem is that at times they can't create that "push" that they need and have given up quite a few sacks. UM's line is massive and has done a great job all year.

Front Seven - Giving the edge to the Cats here for two reasons. Both front sevens are good at stuffing the run the linebacker play out of these two units is ridiculous. I think the Cats are able to generate more pass rush with just their front four where the Griz do a ton of overload and zone blitzing to generate pass rush. Both are effective but the in Cats scheme it allows the linebackers to help out a lot more in pass coverage which the Griz have struggled with by opening up passing lanes a little more often.

DB's - Even. I like the talent on the Griz team a lot but MSU's db's have been at least solid all year long and are starting to get better.

Safeties - Edge to MSU and it lot of that has to do with senior and junior playing those positions. Bethley is a stud at safety and Fuller has come into his own. Hermansen is a stud safety that is still learning and I haven't enough of your other safety Tully to get a read on him.

Coaching: Ash still has to prove that his staff can make in game adjustments faster that what happens at halftime. Frankly we got out coached last year with the Griz picking off our signals (happened at Sac State).

Both teams have new offensive coordinators and defensive schemes are the same even if some of the Coaches have changed on that side of the ball.

Griz will be fighting to keep from having their first losing season in 26 years..amazing.

Cats will be fighting for the rights to share Big Sky conference title and seeding in the playoffs.

UM 24
MSU 21 in a hard fought game..

In a waste of a answer to the predictions I will back my Griz. Score? Who gives a mouse? Griz by one point would hurt more than a swashbuckin lopsided score. So the feared Griz by one point!

Tell me this. Why are the bobkitty posters acting like nut house crackers on this and all E-Griz threads? One must assume msuhunt and big33 (and others) are out of the eighth grade? Or are they sub-adults that can't quite get it on or more likely up? Perhaps they are convinced they are harming Griz fans?????? Or the Griz!!!!

Griznation23 just injure the QB? You have to catch him first. Not many teams have been successful in injuring him. Most teams have gotten burnt trying to do that.

Now tell me how your inexperienced QB's will hold up against our defense. Do you really think they will rule? The record doesn't show that. The smack talk on here doesn't measure up to the play of the Griz this year.

 Good thought buddy. Now, I understand DMac is good that is why I am saying we need to hurt him  In experienced is true (Soph. & Fresh.). Griz opponents are literally playing a H.S. football team and :? H.S. Coaching  But look at the scores :o These Soph. & Fresh. are playing good football and giving it to the Collegiate experienced teams (Sr. & Jr.) a game to the finish.

09/01/12 vs. South Dakota Missoula, Mont. W, 35-24
09/08/12 at Appalachian State L, 35-27 (TD - FG)
09/22/12 vs. Northern Arizona L, 41-31 (TD - FG)
09/29/12 at Eastern Washington L, 32-26 (TD)
10/13/12 vs. Southern Utah L, 30-20 (TD - FG)
10/20/12 at North Dakota L, 40-34 (TD)

As you would also know our coaching staff was part of the reason we lost the "very close" games... To full SR. & JR. squads :o Now I am certain the coaching staff is going to put everything on the field and not hold back this game @ HOME :x Griz Never got blowin' out or beat. The team and coaches beat themselves. We had 10 games to adjust now its time to put the sCats to shame :o So just watch out :geek: Go Griz!!!

Cats 31 Griz 21

Among the reasons: DM will have a better game than the Smithwick-Hann/McKinney (?) combo. Minter and Schreibeis could cause major problems. The return of Cody Kirk and the absence of Dan Moore. Though neither has great DB's I'll give the slight edge to the Cats. But the major advantage goes to the Rob Ash coaching staff. Definately more in sync than the Delaney crowd in a hotly contested rivalry game...

griznation23 said:

You are certain of this? Really? What has this year's staff done this season that makes you think they are treating this game any differently? I believe the players will put everything on the field. I think our coaches will be looking ahead to the playoff game they probably think they'll be preparing for.

Dan Moore plays and Griz win by two scores. And for an added kick in the junk... the Bobcat bus breaks down, we strap ropes to Dan and watch him pull it over Homestake.
