MSU v. Cal Poly

Kramer is a great coach IMO. One of the most physical cat/griz games I have witnessed was in 2006 when Kramer was their coach. Both teams' defenses were hitting like they wanted to kill each other. I miss that attitude that both bobby hauck and mike Kramer instilled in each of their teams. Now both the cats and the griz have gone with coaches that have "respect" for each opponent, so much so that they've both lost that killer attitude.

MSU with a big return out to the 43. Can Poly hold?
Don't forget that they have Big Game Ron!

Yep, his gameplan lost this game on Tuesday. I didn't really think he was going to go through with it, but Jeeesus H. Ya don't try to out ball control a ball control team when you are a Ferrari team. They're better at it, but that's what he wanted to do to try and help out our shitty defense and fricken Cramsey went along with it too.

So all three of them Ash, Marshall, and Cramsey were stupid fools.

The way to beat Poly is to jump on them early and often, build a 3 score lead, and let the dust settle. Nope, gotta try to "maximize every possession." Why? To keep Bobcat fans from burning Marshall's house down, that's why.

Christ what a bunch of idiots.

Best thing that happened to the Griz today was getting up a couple scores early....allowed them to take Suck St out of their normal offensive rhythm and make them more one-dimensional. I don't think the outcome would have been the same if that hadn't happened.

Say Poly and the Griz both finish with one loss in the BSC. Do they share the title? Or is there a tie breaker because Poly beat us?
Both share the Championship. Cal Poly would win the tie breaker for the auto bid.

Thanks Everett and Qwerty. Nice win today by the Griz. The next three weeks are going to be interesting.

To be honest, I expected the Cats to win this game in a shootout, due to your rumored horrible defense. However, your D had a hell of a game, especially Singleton. Funny how being willing to deviate from a 4-3 (ahem) in the right circumstance can make a difference. I think Prokup's arm could have won this game, if they would have let him. Serious respect to that kid.

That "hell of a game" included giving up 376 yards rushing and 483 overall, a whopping 41 yards less than the Griz gave up. So that's now the margin between crappy play and "a hell of a game"?

You got me, no doubt. I had a hunch I should have checked the box score before hitting 'submit'. My perception from watching the game was that the Cats D did really well overall, other than the one CP drive with two huge runs up the middle.

I am not sticking up for the Cats, per se. I just think LTCF has a point. When Prukop threw the ball, he did well. Sorry, my bad.

I think the big difference was that it wasn't ONE guy who ran all over them, like it was when Brown was running against us. Made it "appear" better, but in reality, it wasn't much.

If you take in to account that one defense was being praised as the greatest since the 85 bears, and one defense was rumored to be a sock with holes in it trying to hold water, then yes...that's the difference.

And yet their all-world offense only put up 6 more points than our suck-ass, it's the end of the world as we know it offense. Hmmm......

The cats would have needed a good defens to do as you say and we all know their defense is mediocre on a good day.

I can't figure Ron Ash out either...he seems to get extremely conservative as the season goes on....does it every year....
