This is another year the cats feast on cupcakes.

Pot calling the kettle black eh? The same teams that the Griz play must turn into SEC caliber teams the day the Griz play them. That's why you barely escaped UND?

Here's the cats stats against UND:

UND MSU
First Downs 17 16
Total Offensive Yards 293 329
Rushing Attempts-Yards 32-71 36-62
Passing 37-22-1 26-18-1
Passing Yards 222 267
Penalties-Yards 3-15 6-70
Turnovers 2 1
Punts-Avg. 7-31.3 5-43.8
Punt Returns-Avg. 0-0 3-16
Kick Returns-Avg. 3-49 2-33
3rd-Down Conversions 8-18 3-13
4th-Down Conversions 0-0 0-1
Time of Possession 33:47 26:13

Here's the Griz stats against UND:

UM UND
First Downs 18 12
Total Offensive Yards 279 241
Rushing Attempts-Yards 34-42 35-45
Passing 19-35-1 15-24-0
Passing Yards 237 196
Penalties-Yards 5-41 9-92
Turnovers 1 2
Punts-Avg. 7-37.1 6-41.0
Punt Returns-Avg. 2-4.0 0-0
Kick Returns-Avg. 3-19.3 3-23.3
3rd-Down Conversions 4-14 3-15
4th-Down Conversions 2-2 2-2
Time of Possession 30:58 29:02

Statistically the cats and the Griz had similar numbers on both offense and defense against UND. Scorewise, the main differences in the games were the Cats defense with a pic-6 against UND, and UND with pick-6 against the Griz.

The cat's offense has looked very good the last 2 weeks, but they played in perfect 90 degree weather in California. Against UND, the Cat's offense looked very mortal when played in Montana under somewhat adverse conditions.

Things will change between now and the Brawl, but right now it is shaping up to be a very good game.

UND had a fumble recovery returned for a TD against the Cats also.

The Cats' offense is legit, it's kind of silly to argue otherwise. If the Griz were doing this EXACT same thing against the EXACT same teams, we, as fans, would be in hog heaven and posting as such. HOWEVER, and they will never EVER admit it, Cats fans like poorgriz, gavindonuts and a select few others would be RIGHT HERE telling us our offense isn't that good and that UC Davis sucks REALLY REALLY BAD.

And poorgriz, yes Montana has put up 70-plus against Big Sky teams before. Weber and Idaho State come to mind in the modern era. Honestly, it really isn't anything to brag about, though I'm quite certain, we here at Egriz probably did, and I'm quite certain MSU posters like yourselves were here to tell us that it isn't something we should be bragging about.

Nah, my only reason for posting that comment was in response to someone saying that Ron Ash was running up the score. I literally don't know if I've ever seen a football game where a team lines up for the victory formation with three and a half minutes on the clock.

So they say. Wasn't the case however.

Coach ron ash is a lot of things but he's no beau baldwin when it comes to running up the score.

Hey, c'mon now. I've posted on eGriz a grand total of 4 times in 2014. Once in Feb to talk about transfers. Once to talk about beer. Once to comment on Hammer's throat-yeast infection, and earlier today to razz someone about typing something twice in the same sentence. It's been years since I meaningfully took pot-shots at the Griz football team, because it always ends with you guys whipping our ass in November, or going deeper than the cats in the playoffs. Lesson learned. So give me a break, eh?

I am not the troll you are looking for.

In Gavin's defense, I don't recall him being a troll either this year. In fact, I kind of wonder where some of the Cat posters (trolls or not) have been hiding of late? I am sure they will surface when and if the GRIZ choke to a bad team, or come GRIZ/Cat week.

Gavin's a good poster.

I wish some of his brethren would take a few lessons from him on how it's done.

Pssh, he's a total liar. He's clearly posted five times in 2014, not four. But, when he typed it, he technically hadn't posted for the fifth time yet, so it was accurate. But, it's not accurate anymore, and I don't think he can be trusted until he edits the post. But, it's not really that big a deal, and I probably should have left it alone to begin with. But, then there would be an inaccuracy, the matrix isn't real! What's going on! Mom!

...oh and JJ will be 3-0 against the shitty kitties
He is 1-0 against the Cats right now, how will he finish 3-0.
I know cat people are dumber than a box of shit but I'm sure you can count to two, right? Or are you one of those wiki fags?

Coach Ron Ash is so focused on fundamentals that he doesn't ever know the score. So he can't really run it up if he doesn't know what it is. So for that, Coach Ron Ash is to be commended!
