Did you guys like it better before, or do you like it better now? The Renovation I mean.

In the old arena, many of the seats were not very good, and very rarely did they get used. It is better now, but I think they were so worried about losing seats that they crammed in as many seats as they possibly could in the new configuration. It would have been even better if they aimed for 6,800 or so really good seats with a little more leg room. We rarely need more than 6,000 seats.

I agree the renovation was too much of a compromise to save money - rows too close together, a condition made worse by having 25 or so seats in the section.

As far as attendance I would expect 5700. However, there is a pre-game tailgate party from 5 - 7 in the East Auxiliary Gym where they will be selling beer and dogs for $1 and free soda and water. I wish they would have tried this last weekend, I think it would have spread some word of mouth advertising for this weekend. Hopefully this will be a success, and they will open a beer garden during the games in the EAG with TV's, or better yet make skyclub open to public with a $5 - $10 cover. Better to have the kids spend their drinking money on campus and supporting the team than downtown or up Deer Creek.

I'm coming down from Great Falls to take in the Griz-cat game and have one question. Where exactly is the East Auxiliary Gym?

East Auxiliary Gym and West Auxiliary Gym are located just off the Hall of Champions in the field house. You probably have to show or give game tickets to get to the fan appreciation event because you're just across the hall from the arena. Sounds like a pretty fun event with well-priced food and beverages.

Hope a decent crowd not only shows up but makes some noise. Griz/Cat football was in Bozeman so the students should be primed for a loud rivalry weekend here in Missoula.

I got a seat in the second row! But, I think I'll stand most of the time. Call it residule football mentality.
Let's make no mistake about it. Fcuk the Cats, before, during and after the game. Whoever came up with this tail gate ice cold beer deal, should get a medal a raise, and driven down main street in a convertible.

Radio and Website say you need ticket to the 7:00 PM game to get into the between game event. Pick up your ticket and head south, up the stairs, turn to the left, down the hall on your right and you are there. Do not know how you get out.
