Fear not!! Other than the term being horribly offensive to indigenous people, the area in question isn't being paved over....Yet.... It is where the new indoor practice facility is planned to be built, but that will be a while.

There needs to be immediate action for the Historical Registry designation, before some backhoe operator actually breaks ground on a indoor practice facility. Somewhere the other side of the Museum of the Rockies, there would be a suitable location, and more appropriate, given the state and projected course of MSU football vis a vis T -Rex and friends.

WTF are you talking about? Which stadium are you referencing? Even the home team itself has to do a 2-mile “promenade” just to get from the locker room to the main playing surface.
I’ve never been able to make it from my truck to the main field without four-wheel drive, hip boots, and/or snow shoes.
And why do you say there was private tailgating in the end zone? That actually sounds cool—you know, like a beer gardens in the endzone. But that’s not at all what was there. It was breeze through shed. Sounds like you’re trying to polish a turd

There was private tailgating in the endzone the last couple years, with beer and everything, but that isn't the area I was talking about. Where the Complex is being built, was where the will call ticket complex was at, and in front of that (to the north) was tailgating spots that were roped off so you couldn't walk through them. You can see it in the picture below

Where the Complex is being built, was where the will call ticket complex was at, and in front of that (to the north) was tailgating spots that were roped off so you couldn't walk through them. It would be a shame if they nixed the cat head bounce house. I'm still disappointed that they moved it next to the sheds instead of keeping it in its traditional location in the SXSE end zone. That pre-game cat trot across the field before huddling up in the bounce house for the grand entrance gave a level of excitement the kids loved. The holy triumvirate of sheds also were a fan favorite. Sucks that they have no respect for tradition in Bozeman.

1) How tall will the concertina wire fences be?

2) Is the bottom right-hand picture the main Sally port for the facility?

3) Don’t you guys have a troubled history experimenting with flat roofs?

4) Will fans be allowed on the roof to watch games? If so, will there be safety nets installed below or will Waded allow the fans to jump to their own deaths?

5) Is there any truth to the rumors that Costello was caught on camera pilfering construction supplies at night to augment his personal post-msu, “Vigen Insurance Account?”

Are the cats just giving up on the idea of putting seats in the West-by-Northwest end zone? Are they counting on their avant-garde School of Architecture to yet again stitch another fetid limb on Frankenstein down the road?

Looking at the overhead picture, my impression was this BAC is like the cork in a bottle. Pretty much ends any expansion of the stadium capacity(not anticipating any NEED to expand, as Missoula might need).

I don't understand the need to pack everything into a small area. Unlike UM, MSU has plenty of space with which to expand.

Might be room for some more mismatched bleacher collections in the WXNW corners when all is said and done with the BAC. Maybe make one tall one, one short one, and make sure they don't connect to any other part of the stadia in any way. They could do folding metal chairs atop the BAC when it's done in 2024, but the slanted roof would make for a weird viewing angle.

I have to say, with zero sarcasm, that picture of RHS from that angle has to be the least visually appealing stadium I've ever seen. However many years later, I still don't know WTF were they thinking. The visual reminds me of back in the 90s when an NFL player would get a concussion and they'd put him in one of those helmet toppers.

Edit: I must add that I have no clue who this guy is, or how he’s doing now. I just googled ‘concussion helmet cap nfl’ to get an image of what I see when that SE end zone at RHS is photographed from that angle. Just a big stadium end zone tacked onto a smaller one that doesn’t match.

I’m assuming with the loss of the maintenance sheds that that part of the building with the big garage door will be where they store the lawn maintenance and emergency roof collapse rescue equipment.

I really hope that’s the exit so the brakes have been fixed before launching the Chevy S-10s into the sea of youths.

Side note: that pic makes me even more irrationally angry that they didn’t even bother to match the pitch of the existing stands when they did the SE end zone addition. The entire facility just looks modular, including whatever the fuck that new thing is. The whole thing looks like a ‘Game Over’ screen on Tetris.

I think you’re correct, Ursa. Storing emergency roof collapse rescue equipment under a collapsible roof is such a Bobcat thing to do that I bet it was in the plan from the jump. Sometimes, I love those little dullards.
