I’m afraid the days of wine and roses are coming to an end for the cats. It had to happen someday, what program could persist in the rarefied air of sustaining a .500 record?

The laissez faire attitude toward the coaching of the kicking game is just another example of Sixx losing the locker room, the assistant coaches and major boosters.

The cats are heading back to the dark days of the Solomonson era (.273). Another nondescript North Dakotan that was not quite as exciting as green jello.

Somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico a man aboard a 40’ sailboat is chuckling as he pops the cork on a bottle of chard.

About once a month I head over to BN to see what is being talked about…you know, for a little comic relief. Well, I nearly spit my food out laughing when I read this. Someone posted updated pictures of the new BAC today. This was the last comment:

It doesn't seem nearly as large as I thought it would in that last picture from the field.

Thx, I checked out those pictures after I read your post. Were the architects going for a “Soviet Prison/Nebraskan Middle School” vibe, or are cinder blocks in now? Looks like you could go in there and fill out a shit ton of TPS reports.

He could make Bob Stitt look like a rockstar and that is saying something.

Bob Stitt WAS Montana's rockstar until bedtime 8-29-15, for those who were at the game, or watching Brent Musburger do the play-by-play before a national audience on ESPN.
Stitt's problem was how do you top that? Say what you will about Stitt and his teams, but no one can take away the NDSU game from him or the Griz. Thousands who will never be able to hear clearly again or speak without a raspy voice after that one.

Thanks for posting this, 406! I had no idea about the details on this project. Please keep us posted about future construction/facility problems.

Well the Bobcat Blood Alcohol Content Penal Colony on Reno H. Sales Field at Bobcat Stadium is starting to take shape.

Great description, CDA. I can easily imagine Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn shivving Troy Andersen outside the spa room in retaliation for stealing his fish eye soup during chow.

I’m wondering if the building will serve as a holding center for some of the sex offender ‘shadow people’ from their last project.

My only other question is that other than the Sac State Gymnasium, will it have an equal in the BSC?

A good buddy who is an alum and 45 year season ticket holder on the 50 yd has cancelled his 4 tickets. Only partly due to Choatching Shtixx Show. He would now have to walk over a half mile on snow and icy pond runoff to get around the new architectural marvel on legs bent and hobbled from an early smokejumper career. Seems their plans to pack in more fans forgot the aging "diehard" fans they have. You know, the ones who can take a 16 year licking and keep on ticketing.
If the team craters as so many Cats fear, they'll have to change the stadium nickname to the echo chamber. Might make a good place to store hay in drought years.

That’s not just any pond run off either. If the shit pond water comes in contact with your skin, you have a good chance of dying from a staph infection.

Instead of building the Gulag Archipelago why didn’t they first address the rusted bleacher section?

A well intentioned guy or gal takes his/her family to the Gold Rush game only to wake up the next morning to find their father in the ICU fighting for his life due to heat stroke and a nasty staph infection while their child wakes up with yellow eyes, lockjaw and potential renal failure due to a tetanus infection.

He should have just gotten seats on the alumni side then. Assuming that's the side he tailgates on to warrant an "over half-mile" trip to his seats. Or if he likes his seats on the other side of the stadium if I were him I would enter on the alumni side and walk the "half-mile" the other direction where it's covered the entire way and no snow or pond runoff.

But I'm a trouble-shooter. ;)

On top of the fact that there is no way you have to walk half a mile from any spot in the tailgating areas to get to your seats (even if you walk around the entire stadium 1 1/2 times)... There was a ticket gate and private tailgating where the new complex is going, so he always would have had to walk that distance (again, assuming he didn't use one of the other 6 entrances on his way.)

I imagine the Cats will have someone overseeing special teams as well. If not it should be evident the first game of the season when we miss every field goal, botch all our long snaps and give up a few kick returns for touchdowns.

The article makes it seem like there will be nobody overseeing the whole of special teams. Sixx has the kicking/punting, another guy has the kick and punt returns, maybe another one to handle the holding, another to handle the long snapping, and two more guys to handle FGs into the wind versus with the wind.
Back in the day, a few of us buddies thought it would be really funny to enter a skit in the talent show. We had no plan and no direction. We thought we were all individually funny, and so if we combined, we’d be super funny. We thought of some cool stuff but never practiced together. There was no cohesive unit. As soon as we got on stage, I realized how bad of an idea it was. One guy was playing music, one guy was dancing, one guy was trying to tell jokes, and I stood there horrified. Such an embarrassment, and I still wake up with night sweats when I think about it

WTF are you talking about? Which stadium are you referencing? Even the home team itself has to do a 2-mile “promenade” just to get from the locker room to the main playing surface.
I’ve never been able to make it from my truck to the main field without four-wheel drive, hip boots, and/or snow shoes.
And why do you say there was private tailgating in the end zone? That actually sounds cool—you know, like a beer gardens in the endzone. But that’s not at all what was there. It was breeze through shed. Sounds like you’re trying to polish a turd

There was private tailgating in the endzone the last couple years, with beer and everything, but that isn't the area I was talking about. Where the Complex is being built, was where the will call ticket complex was at, and in front of that (to the north) was tailgating spots that were roped off so you couldn't walk through them. You can see it in the picture below

Well he's old so he doesn't like change, he's cheap so he won't pay for preferred anything, and he's a Bobcat so he exaggerates everything.

Further, I happen to know Google Earth estimates the ToT to be over 1.3 miles long.
