MSU Opener Moved to Thursday Night

Ozzy, is that MDT or MST? Just start the game at 6:00 pm and you won't need to fire up those candles. Geesh you cats seems really sensative about your new toy. I will say it one more time, I think an August 30th evening game is a great idea.

With what the Chadron State College Eagles did to the MSU, huh, whatever, back in 2006 I'm surprised that MSU rescheduled them. Be nice if MSU had to turn the lights off at halftime for the rest of the game in order to avert any more embarrassments on the field. Keep it all in the dark, I say. :thumb:

Fortunately for the Cats, Little Danny Woodhead is now playing for New England. He personally destroyed them in that 2006 debacle.

The Cats experienced football hubris falling on their sword with Chadron State one week after beating Colorado in their opener.

But, Woodhead obviously the real deal! Reminds me of the Righetti kid from Whitefish.

this thread needs to be benched already because ANY attempt by Griz fans to knock MSU for this just makes all of US LOOK LIKE MORONS. This is a cool move by MSU any way you cut it and i wear as maroon colored glasses as anyone.

and BTW, the press release is referring to the possibility that at least one Griz/Cat game was played under the lights in Butte.

I wasn't intending this as a knock on MSU, I just thought the line was funny since there hasn't been a night game in Bozeman before.

Gatton Field was home to the Bobcats for nearly 4 decades, and it had lights in the 40s. Not sure if they ever played a night game there, but if the lights were any indicator...
