My takes....Choke shelved the bowling shirt, whomever approved the piece of turf with the logo that doesn't match the rest of the field is awesome (how bush league that looks), neither QB is worth a crap, lots and lots of empty seats, Cats suck....#Bust

I feel bad for the cats. I mean, they have a new coa....

Ah fuck it! No WAY can I sell that so I'll just say,

Colter, did coach Ron Choate pin the blame for the loss on the media again?

The video above is his full press conference in its duration. He did say the media thought the game was over when MSU went down 20-0.

"The result in the end isn't what you want but I was extremely proud of the way these guys performed in the second half to give ourselves an opportunity," Choate said. "After Kevin (Kassis) put that ball on the ground (on the opening kickoff) to open the second half, you guys probably thought it too. But the guys bowed their necks, not tonight, we are going to make some plays."

NAU commercial a bit ago ... think I captured the patter pretty well. It seems their location in Flagstaff (at 7000+ feet) gives them a distinct home-field advantage. That huge advantage has allowed them, since 1915 (100 years), to capture ... wait for it ... two whole conference championships. Be still my beating heart! :o :D

Just think of how many championships they'd have won if their campus was at 8000 feet!

It certainly works for NAU's cross country and track and field teams.

I'll bet! :thumb:

You make a very good point. Way back in the day, I ran cross country ... and our place was at like 62 feet elevation. I cannot imagine what it would be like to go directly from that to 7000 feet and then run in a meet. Throw-up city, I suspect. :puke:

Choate is intense and likely hard working. I suspect he will win some games in future years.
The challenge will be recruiting enough talent to build exceptional teams.
