MSU Making a Title Run, Sportsnetwork Phoning it in Again

The article left off one little fly in the ointment: they play Idaho State in Holt Arena the week before the Brawl. Kramer will hand them their ass, and set up the traditional 'Trail of Tears.'

Idk if this was your intention or not, but whenever I read a post from you...I do it in the Statler and Waldorf voices....

It's a long walk from Pokey back to Bozeman. Hope they've got comfortable shoes and a warm jacket.

Looking at that schedule I would say they will finish 7-4 or 8-3 depending on how the pieces come together for them...Not sure if that is title run material. EWU is going to be the team to beat in the Big Sky until further notice.

That schedule will definitely get them an opportunity to get drilled in the playoffs. Again.

So two of their three non-conference games are against Ft. Lewis, and East Tennessee State, a team that has 65 out of 68 players on their roster listed as freshmen.

Man...I hope the Cats survive that brutal non-conference schedule. They'd better be careful not to choke on the sprinkles.

Lets see...predictions.

Loss @EWU, with the rest of the games being wins until something just seems "off" with them while @North Dakota. They win pretty easily but the 2nd half just doesn't seem like the same team for some reason... What's going on?

BobCatNation starts to get nervous. Their upbeat attitude about "THIS BEING THE YEAR" starts to be replaced with "it just can't happen again, can it?"

SUU game at home they manage to win, but it's not an impressive win at all. They look all out of sorts. Sure they are ranked very high after now starting the season 8-1, but everyone knows what's coming.

Many on BobCatNation try to convince themselves and others that this year is going to be different! It was just a couple bad games and at least they still won! Deep down though they know the truth...

Following that not very impressive SUU win, Kramer's Revenge happens as MSU gets stomped on the road by ISU.

The Ron Ash End-Of-Season-Collapse™ is in full force.

Finish the season losing to the Griz at home, a few threads about pulling people's scholarships are created on BCN. Threats made, jimmies rustled, BCN goes completely batshit insane after yet another beating by the Griz.

Mods have to step in to "Take back BobCatNation" as the cats limp into the playoffs with a 8-3 record having lost their last 2 games.

First round of the playoffs, they host a semi-good playoff team that actually gets better as the season goes on (and doesn't collapse). They lose in the first round, Ron Ash throws someone under the bus. Many tears are shed, excuses are made and after a month or two of wailing and gnashing of teeth, they begin preparations to do it all over again in 2016 because they have the best recruiting class ever coming in next year!

Nice touch!

Haha and the excuses just keep on coming about last year's loss to the Griz!

Correct. Most Griz fans won't admit it but last year's game was a fluke. Not only did we have to use our #2 QB but every possible thing that could have gone wrong in that game offensively, did. I think everyone knows that if we had a healthy Dakota Prukop and the Griz would have had to start their backup - that game turns out much, much differently.

First off...There are WAY better excuses than our back-up QB (who by the way is FAR better than our starter...Haven't you heard? all our back-ups are).

1) Your 80 year old booger eating coach decides to retire, and give your entire team major motivation.

2) It isn't MSU's fault our defense couldn't catch a greased up def guy if you paid them to.

3) Singleton can't tackle 11 people at once on his own.

4) The refs missed 81 holding calls.

5) It was to cold and loud
