MSU Juggernaut: How to Win Ten Home Openers in a Row

Reading Greg Rachac's write-up of the Bobcats' win in the Billings Gazette, he finishes his article: "MSU has now won 10 consecutive home openers."

Well, I wondered, who have they beaten in those ten games, and what was the last team they lost to? Worth a chuckle.

In comparison, Montana has 13 consecutive home opener victories, with notable wins against North Dakota State, Appalachian State, South Dakota, Cal Poly, Southern Utah (twice), South Dakota State, and Maine.

We've won 15 of the last 16, with only the 24-25 home debut loss by Bobby Hauck to North Dakota State in 2003 when they were DII, and 15 of the last 17 with the 9-10 debut loss by Joe Glenn to Hofstra in 2000.

Great post oGriz!! I'm happy Ricechex is now the cat beat writer. The bohunk no longer has to attempt to hide that he has his head up cat ass. He's no Colon Nuance!

Look, give they guy credit. He's trying to find something -- anything -- positive to say about a team that barely scratched out a win at home against a lower level FCS team. THAT'S NOT EASY! Now that the preseason has ended, their National Champion status is just a fond memory. Frankly being a Cat fan is hard enough without having to be subjected to reality. Cut him some slack.

Wow. That's a Murderer's Row for certain. Kudos to the cats coaching staff and Athletic Directors.

Speaking of, is the new one still around or has he jumped ship as well?

Ha! I forgot about that first press conference where the dude's family looked like they wanted a hot air balloon to take them anywhere. Hilarious!

He's been fired three times by the Red Queen already, all by accident of course, so he's still there.
