He might be the best QB to be a non-factor and lose in WGS. That's a pretty big honor.

That smoke filled exhibition game? I thought he played tremendously during that preseason game. Surely I doubt he cares about that meaningless practice session the same way you do.

Yeah that's his schtick. Once they lost the game wasn't important.

It didn't mean anything. Griz came to the Fargodome later that December to play in the real season, the playoffs, suffered an ass kicking and NDSU went on to win another national championship.

And the game against the kids led by Glenn.....that was practice too I am guessing?

No that was a very important conference game and they had a gigantic wake up call. Good thing they learned from it and went on to win another national championship.

Look sometimes they get beat, but rarely they do. I just don't get too worked up about things until the playoffs. Certainly never have I made a big deal about a game played in August. The games played in December are the ones to remember.

Of course not. Haha!

I took the liberty of sorting through some of your old posts prior to your first loss of the year at WGS. ".....never made a big deal about a game played in August????"

Possibly someone hacked into your account last summer? Don't get me started. ;)

I believe I started a thread congratulating the Griz on the win and saying good luck during the seasom and I hoped to see the Griz during the playoffs. Shit I talk a lot and analyze the players on NDSU's team before the spring green and gold game, but that doesn't mean too much either. I was excited to watch football again. I certainly didn't think the game would be season altering or program changing. Just a chance to see where the defense was going to be at and what they needed to improve on.

Ultimately it was a fun non conference game that didn't really impact either team. I just don't know how you guys can be so giddy about winning a game in August when later in December, in a game that really mattered, the Griz suffered arguably their biggest playoff beat down of all time. I certainly can never remember a game in Fargo where fans rushed the field after winning a game in August.

It didn't mean anything because you lost. Had you won, you'd be here crowing about how you beat the Griz's ass in Wa/Griz...The ONLY reason you continually downplay it is BECAUSE you lost.

Alright they lost. Want a ribbon or something? What difference did that loss end up making? National championships are not won in August is all I am saying. Once that young NDSU defense had time to gell, it was man vs boys in the playoffs.

Taking over Romos position

And if Wentz goes on and has a career similar to Romo, I think he will be able to look back and be very happy with his NFL career. Romo is a good QB.

Wentz is significantly more talented & progressed than Romo was @ this point in his development. He'll be significantly better, baring injury, because he doesn't start out with his head in his backside.

I'd actually like a ribbon. And not one of those cheap ass participation ribbons like the one you got for walking accross the finish line of the fourty yard dash, gasping and weezing, just before you blew chunks on your 6th grade teachers Trax tennis shoes. Make it a nice one, worthy of display. Thanks for asking.
