Moving up

News today is that Jacksonville State and Sam Houston are moving to CUSA. There will be 6 FBS teams in Alabama when the move is complete and none in Montana. I've read a lot of posts on this board about Montana moving up and I think it may be time. With all the top teams leaving the FCS, winning in this division won't mean as much. Just a big fish in a small pond. Not making a dig at Montana. I grew up there and have been a Griz fan all my life. But I attended Jacksonville State and still live in the area. Just wondering how much support there is for a move up and if the other top schools moving is having any affect.

In my opinion, our chance to move up was to the WAC years ago. If we would have done that, the conference would have held together and been good. Today, there are no conferences that would accept us. Maybe the PAC 12 because we are former members of their progenitor conference.

Spanky is invested in that idea and working on it for sure. But Washington is afraid to have us come in.
