Bobby Hauck and Brent Pease both bring the best qualifications and experience in the West and also with the proper connections in our Montana high schools. Their coaching experiences are far superior to Mr. Stitt (nothing against him just not as qualified). If Peace is out (would have preferred him personally) then I would love to see Bobby Hauck take back the reins as he could start off running and not have to take the time coming up to speed with the Big Sky, the state of MT, the University or the culture of Grizzly football. Take personality out of it for those of you that have personal vendetta's and just look at who is the best qualified, experienced and has a proven record of winning! Having Coach Hauck come back or wanting to come back to Grizzly Football would seem to me to be a no brainer, think about it, how would you feel if he was to be coaching against us in the Big Sky?! He would bring fire, emotion, excitement, swagger and passion back to Grizzly football.

Couldn't agree more! I'm to the point now where I would just appreciate any real clue to who it is. We've ran through quite a few rumors and false information threads and still nothing. I'll believe it when it comes straight from the University.

Personally, I wanted Bobby back, but I think Stitt is a very good and exciting hire. If Montana is the program that we all claim it to be, don't you think a coach like Stitt would know the expectations and the tradition and what he was expected to live up to? A lot of people are treating this guy like hes a moron and isn't going to coach to his full potential as if to think hes just gonna be like "oh shit, this program really does care about its football, I should try harder"? I think this guy is much much much more intelligent and motivated than most are giving him credit for, the only difference is that hes humble and doesn't brag about it.

We need to hire Hauck and bring back winning he can do that because he wins when he coaches here. The president and ad are not listening to boosters and they should because that is what it takes for us to win again and they know it.

And so begins another anti-Stitt thread. You guys might want to just resign yourselves to the fact that NO ONE cares what we here on eGriz want and to the fact that Stitt will be our next head coach. Fighting your own head over what we should do is a monumental waste of time regardless of whether you're right or not.

*and I will beat everyone to it

"So you say there is still a chance!!!!"

This is no rumor and could be complete coincidence, there was a plane ticket purchased by UNLV to Hawaii the week of Griz/cat. Then an announcement that a new QB from Hawaii will be transferring to Montana. Coincidence? Maybe. No name was attached to the plane ticket. Coulda been any UNLV employee going to Hawaii. Someone mentioned something to discredit this but I ignored it after seeing all the other false info that was posted. Honestly, I don't even remember who was discrediting it or what they even said.

Would you guys just give it up...Bobby is not going to be the next head coach...
But you said it's only 99.99999999999999999999999999% positive?

No, the difference is there is considerable uncertainty whether Stitt's unexceptional DII track record translates to success at this higher level. As indicated by another poster, this looks like Rob Ash, who is incapable of closing a season successfully. And Ash had FCS experience; neither have a clue about the art of scholarship management in FCS. Path of least resistance for UM, something I have never admired.

And I have heard a lot of characterizations of Stitt; humble hasn't been one of them.

That coach is Bobby Hauck. The way the Griz are headed currently, mediocrity will be descriptive of a good year. Idaho State finally got clued in and hired a proven winner in Mike Kramer. Anyone less that Bobby Hauck in a step back.

You lost all credibility right there...what has Mike Kramer won?
