Most football game times are set for 2022...

I guarantee you the reason we do not have a September night game is because Scripps has the rights to one prime time home game, they chose Cal Poly, and because Bobby hates night games, he likely said we're only doing one night home game like we always do, it's just gonna be in November this year as opposed to September.

Okay but we don't have to like it so we're still going to complain.

Yah, spot on.

Love Bobby as a coach, but hate his stance on night games. If it were up to me, at least 3 of our home games would be at night. :thumb:

I'm right there with you guys, I love night games. I get pissed off every time Bobby says Football is a Saturday afternoon game. Every fucking high school team in America and most of the west coast college football teams play at night.

And if there were two night games in the fall;

"The drive back over the pass is so dangerous in the dark."
"Hotels are so expensive!"
"Even in September it can be so cold at night."
"WGS didn't have lights for years and nobody complained, of course back then we had DOLA and children respected their elders."
"November is hunting season, I wish they'd play more night games this time of year so I wouldn't have to choose."

It's a fine list, but you forgot:

"The drunks have more time to tailgate and cause problems."
"The barkeeps hate night games."
And my personal favorite which sometimes seems like the Admin's mission statement:
"We've never done it that way before."

Bottom line is the fans buying tickets deserve more consideration. Night games should be early in the season when it's hot, not late when it's cold.

Hell no! Everyone knows that the key to selling any product is to ignore what the customer wants and stay the course. Why? Because fuck 'em, that's why.

What this dude said. Missoula merchants don't like night games.

And as we all know by now, the merchants run the show. I think we can remember what happened last time someone tried to cross the FSPB. The folks who greenlit the installation of permanent lights no longer make decisions for UM. I heard a rumor at least one of them lives "off the grid" (not by choice). Really makes you think.

Not questioning your statement, but please explain.
I don't know the reasons for this shitheaded schedule, but would like to know. Night game in November. Christ! Fuck the merchants, they've been leaching off Griz football for the past 30+ years.

It would be interesting to see what a fan vote would look like regarding the night games. We have two in the regular season this year and have already starting hearing complaints such as these.

I could understand if a game was scheduled at 1:00pm and a couple days before they switched it to 7:00pm that people would get pissed. But you literally have months to get a plan in place if you want to attend a game that happens to be at night.

People just need something to bitch about. :?

Back when people were wondering why we didn't have permanent lights, one of the main explanations of why we didn't was something along the lines of how the bars and restaurants didn't want night games because people would spend only one night in town instead of two. The Front Street Pour Boyz ("FSPB") fought it tooth and nail. It sounded as preposterous then as it does now.

I'm in favor of a vote but if it doesn't go the way I want it to I reserve the right to storm WGS. I may or may not wear bison horns , game day decision.

Nah, just stick with your normal attire, a bronze tiara and the pink tutu...thats a typical night in zootown, isn't it?

Fwiw that's what I hear that kind of thing is the norm in meth-a-zoo-lah while people are storming the "mo club" ....seriously ....wow.

I'm also hearing between the barn dances Friday nights and showing the projected inflatable football practice bubble its practically a done deal that espn game day is coming to zootown .

Espn couldn't possibly pass up an opportunity like that, or could they?

I feel like he's masturbated to memories of a Party of Five episode in a Renault Le Car with the fabric sun roof open.

Saskgriz/princess.. it makes sense now why you post so fondly of your time in zootown..

All the endless hours you wasted at the "mo club" ...haha hanging with your fellow gris brethren, than following that up the next morning telling anybody who would listen your wild tales of the night before at a breakfast place called the "trough"

Who in the hell came up the names of these places?.. Do tell.

Those days and memorable nights HAD to be some of the best times of your life, no?

You’re right. Sounds awesome. I love the unique traditions for The Griz. Best gameday experience in all of FCS and it’s not even close.
I went to a buffaloes game once. Bor—ing. Indoors at the fartgo city civic center. Seriously, so lame. Gameday traditions include a laser show and the Golden Corral. Everyone kept saying, you gotta try the Salisbury steak.

If you think hanging out at a place called the mo club is awesome, good for you...but it does explain quite alot....

As far as making fun of places to eat in fargo, just think about it for a second... meth-a-zoo-lah has a place called the "trough"... wow.

You really couldn't make this shit up no matter how hard you tried....ffs.

What are you talking about?

Is there some big attraction in fartgo I missed? Something unique?

Please see colored comments below

As far as …places to eat in fartgo, yes please name a good one in fartgo. I couldn’t find one

You really couldn't make this shit up no matter how hard you triedmake what up? What are you trying to say? Do you really judge something by its “name”?

Pointing out the facts that there are some rather unique sounding names for some of the establishments in missoula

I guess it's kind of appropriate tho giving missoulas lesser know nickname of "zootown".. ... like I said you can't make this shit up.
