Morehead Gets Big Payday

Not disclosed but the Kittens paid them $250K so you know it was all that. Montana and Morehead should be embarrased for hosting and playing each other.Morehead did not even have motel reservations so they had to travel to Hamilton. At the least we could have shown some hospitality and let them camp out in one of the cities fine parks. They could have gotten a better feel for Missoula.

This is a quote from Morehead coach:

"You have four, five backs like they have, I'm still trying to figure out how they lost last week," Morehead State head coach Jason Woodman said. "It just doesn't make any sense.”

Hell he probably didn't even watch any game film.

Wonder if they feed the men at Mcdonalds or Taco Bell.

I agree OldNGriz--apparently the pollsters were not impressed either with our 59-2 beat down of Morehead, as we dropped from # 8 to # 9.

So all you people bothered by the true let me ask you.Do you think it was fair to all the tickets holders that came to the game ? It was so bad half the crowd left at half time.

Dude, a month or so ago you were on here ranting that we should schedule a Montana NAIA team to play young QBs where they can get some reps. Now we shouldn't play FCS schools that are really weak. I promise, they were just as good as Northern and it was more fun for fans to watch us play another FCS game that counts rather than an NAIA team. Give it a rest, or find a consistent schtick. 1/10 trolling score.

Moorehead was really "not good." It was nice to see the Griz get their feet back under them, but wow. The lack of tackling attempts were miserable by Moorehead. I even saw one time where the linebacker or DB filled the gap and went on his knee and literally almost turned his head away when barely attempting to make the tackle. I think that was on the Gilman angry run early. Yikes. Those guys just were not ready and did not have it at all. There may need to be a little bit of a criteria for scheduling, moving forward. Moorehead may have the worst team they have ever had right now. . .and that is saying a lot. Not to diminish the day for the Griz, but man oh man that was really sad by Moorehead. Looked more like playing a Junior High team then a college team.

Yep. I sure do.
yeah same ones complaining about the playing a team lik
I don't think it was unfair.
Amazingly it’s the people that complain about playing an opponent like this that also complain at the thought of moving up to FBS, which would help us avoid opponents like this.

You just hate when someone calls out the Griz esp. when its true.It was not the team ,it was the University that schedualed this fiasco. And it was only scheduled to make money for them.By the way you are seeing the evidence of not developing quarterbacks and getting them playing time.As far as NAIA teams it was a suggestion of how the Griz could get playing time to develop a quarterback with a record that would not count. As you know this has been done in the past as some posters stated so.But at least the paying public if there was some would have advanced knowlege and could choose to pay or not.

The FBS could schedule Pioneer League teams since technically PL teams are FCS and FBS schools schedule a lot of games yearly against other FCS conferences, like The Big Sky, but they avoid scheduling PL teams because they are a nonscholarship conference. Can you imagine Morehead State playing Oregon like Idaho did ?

I will also have to double check, but when I looked at the Top 25 FCS poll today, I don't believe I saw one PL team in the Top 25.

On Saturday, we left early to tailgate with the score something like 32-0 late in the first half, and one of my Iowa Hawkeye friends at the game asked me if we were going to play a local high school for our next game.

I think he was kidding ?
