More or Less Confident?

Are you more or less confident of a GRIZ win Saturday than you were prior to the Brawl?

What's more likely?

The Griz OL improved dramatically in 2 weeks to be one of the nations best, or those DL's you faced aren't as good as MSU's? I think the Griz are going to gameplan to get the ball out quick so we likely won't see a lot of sacks, but we've seen this OL against this DL already. We know how they matchup.
I'd say the answer is neither. The GRIZ OL didn't need to improve to be among the best in the nation.

If you held a team to 25 carriers for 28 yards 1.1 YPC would give you the impression they won...Right?
Didn't happen...Ask Oklahoma this morning. The line for Oklahoma 33 carriers for 55 yards 1.7YPC average.
This game could come down to the QBs. I like our chances.

I'm far more confident about Saturday's game than I was for the game a month ago, for many reasons:

The bye: Simply cannot overstate how desperately needed that week off was.

Loud's return: Obviously getting your best defensive player back would help any team. But he is so critically important to the style of defense the GRIZ play, and I'd say they are automatically 7 points better with him in the lineup.

The way both teams have looked in the playoffs: Look, I know the cats are trying to hype up the teams they played, but please. We're talking about the 2nd place team in the Ivys (Ivys!!); and a team in SFA who quite literally could not catch a forward pass. And the cats looked mostly discombobulated and unmotivated in each. Meanwhile, the GRIZ absolutely boatraced two MoValley teams who began the year ranked in the top 3, and would have remained there but for injuries to guys who were all back for the playoffs.

Intangibles: I have to think Sixx openly looking for other jobs has impacted the buy-in in the locker room, and when you throw the Davis thing ("I respect, he respects, all respect") into the mix, there is something clearly wrong with the cat program. Meanwhile, the GRIZ are playing their best ball of the year at the right time.
I'll let this speak for me on the subject

The cat DL is certainly much better than any other we’ve faced, but with a less than 100% Brott out there, that’s something the Griz need to attack. I would double team him and make him feel uncomfortable out there and then just run Gillman at him and see how he handles it. If he’s hurting out there, then I think there’s potential to wear him down.
I wouldn't disagree with this.

The real storyline here is how early the Griz can get in the head of the mentally weak RB. Here are the facts: He put his hands on a coach and a teammate out of frustration on national TV. No discipline. He then cost his team a TD with a mentally weak disgusting act. No discipline. His coach has said publicly that the assault was not his first tantrum. “He runs hot”.

Therefore, because his coach is afraid of him, we will need to get into his head early and often to cause a temper tantrum worthy of ejection. Mid first quarter would be ideal, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to accomplish by halftime.

Sure. But it’s cats rushing attack as whole that needs to be kept in check. Qb +1 and both backs are very capable. If griz can’t limit ground game to under 200 it could be a long long day

Sure, but it’s eliminating one of the RBs who has proven he is unable to control his emotions and has a coach who is afraid of him that will further the goal of neutralizing the rushing attack. I thought that was implied.🤷‍♂️

I had a Shi__y Kitty 😺 friend yesterday at work at the Ted Lechner Youth Service's Center in Billings @ bloviating about how his beloved Boobcats were going to dismantle us " again" after their massive 3 point win over us a month ago.

He wanted to bet me and started at $100, quickly upped that to $ 500 and then $ 1,000.

I told him, Sure ______, I'll bet you a $ 100.

He responded by quickly amending his bet to $ 5.00 --enough said.

Let the Bobcat Beatdown in Bozeman Begin, GRIZ 51, Sh__y Kitties 😸 21.

Go GRIZ. !!!

My only concern is keeping things in check at the beginning of this thing. Don’t let it unravel early. Stay focused!

As my college coach used to say, repeatedly, turnovers will KILL you.

UM has one more first down, 224 to 199 lead in total yards, and leads in TOP (17-13) and penalties (4-1).

The QB's are 17-23 and 5-8 (for 46).

Jones' undefended run was 54 yards. Gillman is 10-85 and has 4 catches. Wortham has 5 catches.

Too bad about injuries. Nos. 3 and 87 for Griz. Dowler D for Cats.

Griz have stabilized and come back nicely, but they need to play better. Too many mistakes, mostly smaller.

Would be nice to start strong with stop on first drive.
