More Cal Poly Problems: Drug Investigation

Maybe we could get Engstrom to advise Armstrong on how to proceed. That would pretty much eliminate Cal Poly from the Big Sky.

Maybe they would like to get take Delaney for a few years to things back in order.
LOL

Actually, when one wonders WHY a frat house would be robbed at gunpoint, instead of a convenience store, you'd have to think DRUGS and, therefore, DRUG MONEY. To be continued.....

Supposedly, the theft was for prescription alprazolam (Xanax, Tafil, et al). It could be as simple as that the player knew someone had a script and he wanted it.

I was prescribed Xanax for about 5 years for insomnia (they no longer prescribe for that use). It's not a typical addict's drug; you don't get "high" or any pleasurable feelings from it. It basically just slows your metabolism down. The only reasons it exists as a blackmarket drug are because of people self-medicating anxiety disorders, as a slow-down drug for people on stimulant benders, or as a primer for things like methadone to create more of a heroin-like high.

My guess is if this guy was running around trying to rob people of Xanax, he probably has a serious unmedicated psychological disorder. He belongs in jail, no doubt, but he also needs some serious counseling and medical treatment.

I've worked around those with psychological/mental health issues. The counseling and medical treatment won't be worth a damn unless this gun totn' asshole really wants help. Ya gotta wanna. This is where prison comes in. Part of the sentence is successful completion of treatment. He should have plenty of time on his hands to do so. As for Cal Poly, I believe we have heard the term 'lack of institutional control/oversight' used before. Just starting to get interesting in SLO.

Drugs run rampant in college sports, whether you would like to admit it or not...

I take BWs word on preseason, Payton on recruiting, EverettGriz on university matters and PR on the legal aspects. Not going to argue with '420 on issues of ... Nevermind.

Seriously tho. Yeah kids do drugs and booze and sex in college- but armed robbery of a frat!? Holy Sh*t! I feel bad for the staff and other players. Always liked Poly cause they are always tough. Hope they get through this an clean house.

Yeah, our players limit their frat interactions to curb stomping the frat boys.

I know there is a negative to this, I just don't see it.

I'm not aware of any examples of curb stomping frat boys either.

Wahlberg is a frat boy and if I happen to get an open shot at a game this year, you can bet your sweet ass I'm gonna curb stomp the living shit out of him.
