Strange how when it's a star player making the NCAA tons of money that commits an infraction they often get a small slap on the wrist. When it's a walk on player who doesn't want to be homeless all of a sudden it's a high crime deserving of the maximum punishment

Classic NCAA.

Their claim that they look out for the student-athlete is, indeed, total bullsh*t. Like most corrupt organizations, they follow the money. And there's no real money involved here. So they come down hard on this young man (obviously NOT a "kid") -- that way, they can pound their chests about how tough they are on"rule breakers."

Sad ... just sad.
