in Greece. Good for Mandy. It should be a great opportunity for her to see the world and make a decent income. However, this is kind of disappointing being it shows how far off the GRIZ and Lady GRIZ are from being able to compete with the big boys and girls.

Our 2nd best Lady GRIZ ever cannot even get a shot at the WNBA. No wonder the LG get it handed to them in the NCAA Womens tourney most years. Maybe City is more correct then we though about the welfare of the Lady GRIZ. They are great in the BSC and even regionally, but on the national scale, we cannot compete. I hope in time that changes for both men and women.

Good Luck Mandy.

How would anyone believe that she would play in the WNBA? She is an excellent Montana level athlete, but doesn't have the necessary experience competing against top level athletes on a regular basis as a result of playing at UM in The Big Sky Conference. After playing in Greece....maybe..

Thinking Many would play in the WNBA was a little unrealistic for a few reasons. For one, the WNBA has lost a few teams (currently there are only 13 teams) and the remaining teams were to reduce the number of players from 13 to 11. So it becomes a numbers game. Most teams have only one rookie with some signing two. When you factor in the number of foreign players, the numbers get even lower for the number of players who could even be considered. Detroit signed one player, Shavonte Zellous, from Pitt. Who would you have signed?

Mandy had a tremendous career at Montana and it was a pleasure to watch her play. Hopefully she can continuue this in Greece.
