Montgomery to the Warriors?

Just saw former Griz coach Mike Montgomery is the leading canidate to take over as head coach of the Golden State Warriors. That would be pretty cool to see him in the NBA. Although he is doing a great job for Stanford.

It's all but official. Mike Montgomery will be the Golden State Warriors' next head coach.
Below is an excerpt* from the LA Times.

"Stanford spokesman Gary Migdol told AP that Montgomery met with his players Wednesday to discuss the Warriors' situation.

A Pacific 10 Conference source said Montgomery told the players he had accepted the job."

He better get big $$$$ bucks, because the Warriors suck !!!!!!

My guess is that he wanted to coach a few more years and wanted to collect a big paycheck. He will have a hectic travel schedule, and rarely see his family.
