Monte gets no love...

Finished the joke of a Mascot Challenge at 6-6 after starting out like 5-1 or something like that and missed the playoffs. Anyway, Bucky the Badger makes the playoffs at 6-6 but lost his head to head with Monte so F**K the capital one mascot challenge. It was lame and once the eGrizzers took a stand to not vote for him he got rolled even though a couple defeats were close.

Hope to see him in more mascot challenges, hopefully ones that are not fan voting based and are really challenges that are judged on actual talent and creativity like some of his gameday videos.

Bucky and Wisconsin got yet another gift. Head to head competition is the only way to decide this. Whatever other criteria the challenge committee uses is wrong. How Bucky and Monte did in the other 11 contests is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if Monte finished the last half going 1-5, and Bucky finished up going 5-1. Don't tell us about computer ratings and polls. Haven't you heard of the BCS? Bucky, Bucky's fans and Wisconsin did this to Monte and Montana. Monte has been wronged. This should be appealed to the ncaa. The ncaa is helpful and never corrupt.
 
It was a crap setup, allowing auto-votes and then claiming they can monitor it when they clearly couldn't. I stopped voted or paying attention to it once that was made perfectly clear.

I agree. We were behind this big time when it started, but once it became clear this was a contest to see who could cheat the best, we stopped. (And, I read the rules -- the auto-voting is prohibited by the rules.) And, the fact that Capital One obviously allowed the auto-voting left me with a very poor opinion of Capital One, which I am sure is not what they intended.

If they ever change this so it becomes a real "valid effort = results" contest for fans, then fine, I am in. But, if piling quarters on a key on my keyboard in defiance of the rules is the way to win, nah - we're out. I don't want UM or Monte associated in any way with this in the future.
