It’s a sad, sad day for Griz fans everywhere. The first casualty of the NCAA investigation is no other than Monte, the beloved mascot the University of Montana. Unfortunately, this LYNCH MOB has made an egregious error regarding Monte, actually believing tweets stating his name is not Monte, but Mounty. We’ll all miss seeing the offspring of Chewbacca and Sasquatch, but “reliable” Egriz reports state he has near average representation in his lawsuit from no other than PlayerRep. Stay tuned….

I think Bear Spray may be on to something. We can pin all the issues on Monte, say he has a hidden agenda to make us seem like the Miami teams of the 80s, have him expelled and tell the NCAA that after a thorough investigation we have taken care of the issue. Monte's motive is obvious...he wants to be known as the nastiest mascot in the country in hopes some "bad boy" pro team will pick him up.

In other news, the NCAA has deemed the nickname "Grizzlies" to be offensive to those who have been mauled by grizzly bears, Bobcat fans, PETA, and the bears themselves. UM will be allowed to retain the nickname only if a majority of grizzly bears in the Glacier and Yellowstone ecosystems approve the use of the moniker.
