As a defense, I like the concept that you can put pressure on a QB and attack the run game with just your front 4 lineman. We saw a lot of that from Alabama last night with Clemson running to the outside instead of up the middle. Deshaun Watson can run though, and made that hard at times for the Tide's front 4.
It makes it nice to not have to bring pressure all the time (and gives you more men to cover in the passing game), as Ty Gregorak often did with Montana's front 7.
I hope whoever our new DC is incorporates that into their philosophy and play calling, or already has that mindset.
