Is a top 10 candidate to become the new HC at Texas, according to a few sports publications. I am sure Texas will be throwing money at the top candidates, as will Arkansas. I would think the Texas job would be attractive enough for LK to depart UTAH. That would suck for the UTES.

I have no basis for this, but I just don't see him at Texas. Lot of money going around there, though, and he wouldn't have to start from the ground up like at Utah.

I am pretty sure the Texas job holds no interest for Larry. His kids are at an age that stability is important and his wife has a huge say in the decision making process. He is very content at the present time with the Utah gig and it would take a lot more then money at Texas to get him to leave. I think it would have to be a different named program with status to get him to even look. Lets face it the Texas coach did a good job and got fired who needs that pressure. I could see him giving the NBA another shot down the road. He enjoys living in the West.

And he was unemployed less than a week and is now the head coach at ANOTHER UT (Tennessee)... :lol:
