Montana vs Utah Valley Game Thread.

I am very pleased to see Henderson, Weisner, Deshields, and Hutchison with a few minutes. They all looked comfortable out there. At least they executed, passed, and defended well. Henderson looking very confident out there. Rather it be the veterans, or the young guns, the shots just did not fall, and a few costly turnovers. Those shots the GRIZ got will fall more often, than not.

Overall, other than shooting, I like what I seen in the 1st half. We do need to look to score by taking the ball to the hole more. I really liked the ball movement, defense, and substitutions tonight. I hope Tinks hangs in there with the youngsters from this point forward rest the season. Those are some very talented young Freshman.

The GRIZ win this running away in the 2nd half, with better shooting.

I agree. If you could smooth out our stretches where it seems about once or twice every game for about 4 minutes, we can't hit a damn thing, we'd probably have a better record. Hopefully the shots fall and the griz win this going away.
 
A Griz team that ranks 243rd in field goal percentage offense will struggle shooting all season. I really doubt that "Those shots the Griz got will fall more often than not." because they have not fallen so far this year.
 
This game is looking like its shaping up to be another UGF type game. Would like to see the Griz step on the gas pedal - both offensively and defensively.

A matter of different thinking. As a coach, I see that it cannot get worse. The shots they are missing, for the most part are good looks.

At least they are taking quality shots. Is the issue a confidence thing, lack of skill, or just plain bad luck?

The last few games, the shots are very good quality shots. I think it is a confidence thing.
 
Their offensive execution is the best it has been all year. Open shots almost every possession. Amazing, the shots are falling, and they are up 16. That is what I meant about my half time post.
